This is the ultimate day tour to Margaret River and its beautiful surroundings! If you don’t want to miss out on all the fun Margaret River has to offer, this tour is perfect for you. Let us take care of the driving so you can kick back and relax. All you need to do is jump onboard and prepare to be amazed.

We’ll take you to some of the must-see spots in and around Margaret River. During this full-day tour, you’ll enjoy a fantastic mix of food, drinks, art, and of course unique natural beauty. Some of our favorite stops include Busselton, Yallingup, local vineyards and of course the township of Margaret River itself. Bring your camera and a healthy appetite – we’ve got plenty of treats for you to try!

Explore amazing Margaret River

After picking up all our lovely guests in Perth and Fremantle, we head towards Margaret River. Please note that it’s a 3-hour drive. This means that our tour might not be the best choice if you’re traveling with young children.

The fun begins once we enter the Margaret River region. It’s famous for its world-class surfing, gorgeous beaches, multi-chambered caves and unique karri forests. For the next ten hours, you’ll be busy eating and drinking your way through Margaret River while enjoying spectacular views.

Visit beautiful beaches and vineyards

On this marathon of fun, we’ll drop by a handpicked selection of unforgettable places. One of the top destinations is, of course, the bustling market town of Margaret River itself. We’ll walk over the bridge that crosses Margaret River and continues into the forest.

Another place we can’t miss is Busselton. In fact, no visit to Western Australia is complete without seeing this little town! Although the beach is gorgeous, Busselton is actually famous for something else. At 1841 meters, the Busselton jetty happens to be the longest wooden piled jetty in the Southern Hemisphere. Go ahead - have a stroll on one of the biggest icons in Western Australia!

And then there are the stunning beaches in Yallingup. The best word to describe this coastline is just ”wow”. It’s impossible not to smile when you see this slice of paradise. Once your feet touch the white sand, you’ll want to run straight into the crystal-blue water. Give in to temptation and go dip those toes in the Indian Ocean!

Try the best food and drinks in Margaret River

To balance all this natural beauty, we’ll also show you some of the best places to eat and drink.

Margaret River is one of Australia’s leading wine growing regions. Can you guess what that means? That’s right – we have to visit a vineyard on our tour! Lean back and enjoy the beautiful setting while you sip on some of the region’s best wines.

We’ll also have a delicious lunch at either a vineyard or a brewery. Having this much fun will make you hungry, so we’ll make sure you get the tastiest dish on the menu. This is the perfect moment to stretch your legs and relax from the driving. Please note that under the Liquor Control Act 1988 it is an offense to serve liquor to a person under the age of 18.

For the sweet tooth, we’ve arranged something extra yummy. On the tour, we’ll drop by a chocolatier who makes treats you simply can’t resist. They’re made from freshly roasted cacao beans and they’re very addictive.

To round off this delicious selection of tastings, we head to Yahava Koffee Works. Here, the passionate coffee brewers will take you on a journey around the world. You’ll smell and taste different coffees from exotic corners of the planet.

All the tastings mentioned above are included in the price of the tour. This means that the only extra expense you have is if you wish to have any drinks with lunch (apart from the complementary glass of wine).

Visit a local art gallery

And finally, as a little treat for the eyes, we visit the gallery and studio of British artist Jenny Taylor. Her charming paintings of Margaret River are internationally renowned. During our visit, we’ll get the chance to see some of her fantastic pieces.

Every day trip has a maximum capacity of twenty passengers.

We feel that our explore guides can provide an intimate and consistent experience when the tour is restricted to this number of Explorers.

Handbags and small rucksacks are ideal for ‘Explore Tours’ trips to hold for sun cream, hats, cameras and snacks etc.

Comfortable footwear for walking short distances would be ideal.

As Perth is the sunniest capital city in the world you will need sun cream, a hat, sunglasses, a bottle of water to keep you hydrated and a camera to capture all the amazing sights you will encounter.

Most of all remember to bring your adventurous spirit!

You don’t need to be super fit to enjoy this day trip. All of our trips involve a certain amount of walking, whether that is from the ‘Bus’ to an entrance or having a walk around sandy pathways.

There may be some activities and destinations that aren’t suitable if you are unable to walk unaided e.g. without the use of a walking stick, however, our explore guides will make you well aware of this before you leave on the trip.

Unfortunately we do not currently have wheelchair accessible vehicles, but we are working on it and do hope to have some soon.

The weather in Perth is fantastic (especially if you like sunshine) and is comparable to that of the Mediterranean. Perth is the sunniest capital city in the world, with an average 8 hours per day of sunshine, 365 days per year.

In the summer months (roughly November to March) it can get very hot, but the Fremantle doctor (a cool southwesterly breeze) helps to keep things feeling a little cooler.

In the winter months the daily temperature is still in the high teens and the wind dies down a lot, but the sun is still out and it is a great time for those who don’t like it too hot.

Spring and Autumn are brilliant times to visit Perth as the temperature is in the early to mid-twenties and hotel accommodation isn’t as expensive.

Perth has also been ranked inside the World’s top ten most livable cities for several years in a row, with part of the reason being the great climate. So whatever time of year you decide to come visit Perth we are pretty sure you will love it.

We would advise against taking children on the Margaret River tour unless you are confident that your child can spend a lot of time sitting down on the bus.

The age range for Children varies on each tour so please check the pricing on each tour.

In general though Children are classed as those aged between 2 and 15 years old and you will need to pay the child price for them.

Infants are those aged below two years old and travel free on day trips as long as they sit on an Adult’s lap. No food is provided for Infants as it is assumed that the parents will bring food for them.

If you would like your infant to be provided with a child’s portion of lunch, or have their own space on the bus, you will need to select a child place rather than an infant when booking.
