Explore the best of Western Australia on this amazing one-day adventure from Perth! Enjoy cruising along the Indian Ocean Drive, come face to face with koalas, kangaroos and wombats at the incredible Caversham Wildlife Park and enjoy the intriguing limestone landscape of the stunning Pinnacles Desert before we take to the dunes for an adrenaline fuelled afternoon of sandboarding.


A true highlight of any trip to Western Australia, this action-packed day tour is a great way to take in the native wildlife and beautiful scenery of this unique region. Hand feed kangaroos, snap photos as we board down the biggest sand dunes on the Indian Coast and experience an incredible desert sunset before we return to the city.



This adventurous tour is action packed from start to finish. Embark on a walking safari, get up close and personal with koalas, dingoes and Tasmanian Devils at Caversham Wildlife Park, marvel at the spectacular limestone pillars in the moon-like Pinnacles Desert, uncover Aboriginal Dreamtime stories and learn the fascinating history of this region on our day trip from Perth. 


We start our tour bright and early, with pick up from Perth city centre at around 7:30 am. Enjoy driving along the beautiful coastline before we head to Caversham Wildlife Park, home to over 200 uniquely Australian species. Experience a truly fascinating walking safari as we explore the park, feed kangaroos by hand, before we tuck into a delicious morning tea with scones, cookies and cakes! 


Stop off at the jaw-dropping Nambung National Park and explore the alien landscape of the Pinnacles Desert, an intriguing limestone landscape formed from ancient shells that have been eroded over millions of years. Take photographs, stop in at the Discovery Centre and keep your ears open as our friendly guides share fascinating stories and delve into the history of this spectacular region. Get ready to feast as your guide prepares a fresh Aussie BBQ lunch at Hangover Bay recreational area. 


Enjoy an action packed afternoon at  Lancelin Sand Dunes. Wander through the stunning scenery, stop and take photos. For those who feel especially adventurous, we also offer a chance to try sandboarding down the massive dunes.Experience an adrenaline high as we zoom down from the top of these huge sand hills. Settle in for a spectacular sunset before we make our way back along the Indian Ocean Drive. Our incredible day trip comes to an end as we drop you back to your Perth city centre accommodation at around 7:30 pm.

All of our tours require passengers to have valid travel insurance including activity cover for sandboarding

It is possible to make individual bookings, but we require a minimum of 6 passengers to run our tours

We operate in the outback and remote areas and reserve the right to alter the route, itinerary or to cancel the operation if road, weather or other conditions dictate. If for any reason the route is altered and a different itinerary offered, we will endeavour to limit any disruption to the tour

Our tours are aimed at the young and the young at heart and they all include hikes of 2+ kilometres over moderate to difficult terrain, often in high temperatures. A moderate level of fitness is required to fully participate in most activities. Our itineraries that travel north from Perth include activities such as sand boarding, snorkelling, swimming and canyoning (hiking, climbing and wading through gorges).

Our day tours have an age restriction of 3+ years old. Children between 3 – 5 years old will be charged as children however as per DCBA children 6 and over will be charged as adults.

Terms & Conditions:

  • Tour will operate with a maximum of 16 and minimum of 6 persons per tour.

  • All persons must be aged 18 years or older, however, children are allowed on day tours.

  • No liability can be taken by the supplier in case of damage, personal loss, theft, injury or sickness whilst participating in designated activities including but not limited to bushwalking, snorkelling, sand boarding, off-road driving or camping. Aussie Wanderer operates in the outback and remote areas and reserves the right to alter the route, itinerary or to cancel the operation if the road, weather or other conditions dictate. If for any reason the route is altered and a different itinerary offered, no refund will be paid.

Cancellation Policy:

In the event that a booking is cancelled, the following fees will apply:

  • Cancellations more than 30 days of departure: no fee
  • Cancellations between 30 and 14 days of departure: 25% of the total cost
  • Cancellations between 13 and 8 days of departure: 50% of the total cost
  • Cancellations within 7 days of departure: 100% of the cost
