WHAT TO EXPECT
Hells Gate - Rotorua's most active geothermal park, is not one to miss. It is set in 50 acres of natural geothermal landscape, including boiling mud pools, the largest hot waterfall in the Southern Hemisphere, steaming fumaroles and land coral formations. Explore the fascinating exploding landscape on a 2.5km walk around the park, before relaxing in the special geothermal muds and sulphurous waters.
Guided tours take approximately 1.5 hours starting at 9.30am and 1.30pm daily. Or grab yourself a complimentary self-guided map and embark on the 45 minute walk yourself with freedom to start and finish at any time.
Geothermal Mud Baths
After your geothermal walk, relax and enjoy a 20-minute soak in the Hells Gate Geothermal Mud Baths. Each mud bath contains the finest geothermal mud and sulphurous waters. The mud can be smoothed over the skin and used as an exfoliator - leaving the skin clean, soft and rid of any hard cells. Refresh yourself with a cool shower or cool mineral plunge pool before soaking in the geothermal sulphur waters overlooking the Hells Gate reserve.

This package also includes a half hour relaxing full body massage incorporating elements of Miri Miri (Maori massage techniques). The massage involves relaxation and therapeutic massage, energy balancing, joint manipulation and mobility exercises.
