Explore the beauty of Queensland on this amazing half-day tour from the Gold Coast to Burleigh Head National Park and David Fleay Wildlife Park, where we kayak up the beautiful Tallebudgera Creek and encounter the best of Australia’s famous wildlife. Capture a glimpse of one of the world’s strangest creatures, the duck-billed platypus, as we cruise through the beautiful waters. There’s also the chance to see koalas and tree kangaroos and even spot crocs!!
We start our tour bright and early with pick up from your Gold Coast accommodation at 7am before we drive out to the subtropical rainforest of Burleigh Head National Park. Explore the lush rainforest as our guide leads the way towards Burleigh Headland for sweeping vistas and breathtaking panoramas of Queensland’s beautiful coastline.
Take to the water was we embark on a kayaking adventure up the tidal waters of the Tallebudgera Creek. Your expert guide will quickly help you get the hang of our sit-on-top kayaks, before we cruise up the tranquil waters, exploring the beautiful mangroves and waterways as we paddle all the way to the David Fleay Wildlife Park. En route we stop on a sandy riverbank, enjoy a light breakfast on the beach and learn the proper way to throw a boomerang!!
Established in 1953, David Fleay’s is a wildlife park with a difference! Stroll through the idyllic surroundings in the heart of the Burleigh Head National Park, experience Queensland’s iconic natural habitats and come face to face with some of Australia’s most famous wildlife. Capture a glimpse of koalas, crocodiles and tree kangaroos as well as the weird and wonderful Platypus.
This amazing wildlife park is a great place to see the East Coast’s most fascinating creatures in their natural habitats. The beautiful Burleigh Head National Park is home to some of Australia’s most amazing rainforest and mangroves, and this half-day wildlife and kayaking experience is the perfect way to take it all in while enjoying some of the Gold Coast’s most beautiful views! Our amazing tour comes to an end as we cruise back to your accommodation at around 12pm.
