10.00am Tasman Island Cruise departs from Eaglehawk Neck.
Tasman Island is on the Southeast corner of Tasmania it's the rounding part for Sydney & Hobart yacht races. The coastline is part of the Tasman National Park. We will travel to Cape Pillar which at 1,036ft (over 300 metres) is the highest sea cliff in the Southern Hemisphere. While on your cruise keep your eye's peeled as you are likely to spot dolphins, a lot of seals and when they are in season, plenty of whales! We will also take the opportunity to explore waterfalls, rock formations, archways and deep-sea caves.
We also pass the Tasman Island Haulage Way, where a small basket used to take you all the way to the top of the cliffs - not for the faint hearted! Throughout your Tasman Island cruise you will see diving gannets, albatross, sea eagles, cormorants nesting in cliffs and peregrine falcons.
Your Tasman Island Cruise is made even more comfortable due to Pennicott's custom-made yellow boats, their design makes them ideal for viewing the impressive coastline and wildlife that call Tasman Peninsula home. Every one of our boats can hold approximately 43 passengers. The boats are designed in tiered seating formation, meaning everyone gets a great view. They are also covered & open-air, so you can really get up close to the wildlife! They are safe, comfortable and easy on the environment due to their fuel efficiency and low emission rate.
We spend a total of 3 hours on the water.
