Why do we love this

"5 days of natural beauty, quirky towns and iconic wildlife? What could be better? We love that this tour packs heaps into just 5 days, meaning you really get the full Tassie experience."

Escape into Tasmania's wilderness and travel from coast to coast, admiring the wonderful treasures of the island. This may be Australia's smallest state, but it's big on beauty! You'll see famous Wineglass Bay, the Freycinet Peninsula, Launceston and even quaint St Helens.

Day 1: Hobart - Strahan
Leave Hobart and drive through the Derwent Valley – travelling east to west across the island. You’ll see the beautiful Russell Falls, walk among the Mt Field National Park Tall Trees, and visit Australia’s deepest freshwater lake, Lake St Clair.

Later, explore the pristine Franklin-Gordon Wild River National Park and end the day in Strahan.

Day 2: Wild West Coast (breakfast)
Delve into the untouched wilderness of Tasmania’s West Coast. Explore the shifting sands of Henty Dunes that stretch for 15kms along the coast. They're an amazing sight!

Afterwards, continue into the Tarkine Rainforest and walk to Tasmania’s highest waterfall, Montezuma Falls. Take in the incredible views of towering cliffs and pouring spray. If you fancy exploring the rainforest by water, you can join the world-famous Gordon River Cruise (optional, at your own expense).

Later, after you've soaked up the stunning scenery, return to Strahan for the night.

Day 3: Cradle Mountain - Launceston (breakfast)
Around 950m above sea level is the World Heritage listed Cradle Mountain-Lake St Claire National Park. This is where your day begins! Choose a walk to suit you, and get exploring. Stroll around Dove Lake or challenge yourself with a hike to Marion’s Lookout. There's tons of tracks to choose from.

After soaking up the scenery, it's a short drive through Sheffield, the ‘town of murals’, to Launceston for the night.

Day 4: Launceston - Bicheno (breakfast)
Make your way to the East Coast and the beautiful Bay of Fires today. If the conditions are right, this is the perfect place for a swim. Soak in the stunning surrounds and snap a few pics.

Later, Tasmania’s most scenic coastal drive takes you from St Helens to Bicheno, where you'll visit a wildlife sanctuary to meet the iconic Tasmanian devil.

Tonight, you may want to join an evening viewing of the Little Penguins (optional at your own expense and seasonal).

Day 5: Freycinet National Park - Hobart
An early start means you'll be the first to the Wineglass Bay lookout. Beating the crowds means you'll be able to snap that postcard-perfect photo! Since Wineglass Bay is among the top beaches in the world, it's worth capturing the moment!

Walking into the Bay, you'll be welcomed by a crescent of dazzling white sand set against a bright blue sea. With pink and grey granite peaks in the background, this is one of Australia's most beautiful natural environments. Relax for a while on the secluded beach here, or, if you're feeling like a challenge embark of the Mt Amos or Hazards Beach walk.

Later, continue further along the scenic east coast via the seaside towns of Swansea and Orford. Both are small, friendly towns with a quaint coastal air that adds to their magic. They're perfect for a quick afternoon explore. After wandering their streets, you'll continue on the road toward Hobart.

You'll arrive back at around 5.30 pm.

This is a 5-day tour, starting in Hobart at 7.00am and finishing in Hobart at 5.30pm.
