Hat, sunglasses, refillable water bottle and shoes that can get wet (sandals, running shoes, deck shoes are suitable). Or we can supply wet suit booties for you on our full day trips. No special clothes are required, just dress appropriately for the weather and a change of clothes for the trip home. 

If your camera is waterproof, bring it along. Disposable waterproof cameras are also ideal. We do have dry bags and you are also welcome to bring your non-waterproof camera, but please note we do not take responsibility for any water damage to your camera. 

Yes, our tours are suitable for beginners to experienced paddlers. We provide stable-double kayaks and experienced guides to ensure your safety and enjoyment.  Our guides will also give you a short overview of kayaking techniques at the beginning of your tour.

The 2.5 hour Hobart City kayaking tour has a maximum of 16 participants.

Our Hobart City tour is a relaxed and easy paddle suitable for all fitness levels. It is perfect if you have never paddled before or if you are unsure of your fitness for a full-day paddle. This paddle is also perfect for children over 7.

Our kayaks are sit-in sea kayaks and fit people up to approximately 195cm (6 foot 5 inches) in height. The kayaks have an enclosed seat pod and most people up to 120kgs are able to comfortablely sit in the seat.

We can cater for people with some lower body disabilities and visual impairment, usually by pairing with an experienced paddler (or guide). 

We provide life jackets and our double kayaks are very stable and unlikely to capsize. However, if you are a non-swimmer you must inform your guide/s prior to the trip and they will keep a closer eye on you

You will get wet feet getting into and out of the kayak, but otherwise you should not get too wet. You may get slightly wet midriff if it is very windy or raining. We recommend you bring a change of clothes to change into after the tour.
