WHAT TO EXPECT
This is a tour with a twist! Get ready to discover 'Wanaka's Wonderful World of Weirdness' at Puzzling World.
With access to both the Great Maze and Illusion Rooms, you'll enjoy a day full of excitement and wonder as you wander through rooms full of optical illusions and visual mirages.
For over forty-five years Puzzling World has been messing with people’s heads! With a mix of bizarre buildings, rooms of illusion and the world-famous Great Maze, this attraction is designed to baffle your brain and challenge your perceptions of reality.
Step into the Sculptillusion Gallery which houses incredible illusionary displays from some of New Zealand's most talented sculptors. Featuring a designated exhibition 'pod' there's always something new and exciting to see here.
You'll also get to check out the Ames Room, where giants and dwarfs are created. And don't forget the Hall of Following Faces, where 168 famous faces follow your every move. Invented by Puzzling World creator Stuart Landsborough and sculptor Derek Ball this room is a little eerie!
Next, make your way to the Tilted House and the Tumbling Towers for some slightly skewed fun.
Then, check out the Hologram Hall, where you'll see the worlds largest collection of 3D hologram photos and get to experience NZ's only Holoboxx display.
You'll also get access to the Great Maze - the worlds first 3D super maze, and the Leaning Tower which is tilted at an amazing 53 degrees and balances on just one corner.
As you make your way around Puzzling World you'll also be able to check out the Wall Wonders. Every wall you pass here carries incredible artwork, brain teasers and optical illusions! Your brain and eyes won't rest for a minute as even the toilets in Puzzling World, named the Roman Toilets, are a lesson in perspective.
Puzzling World also boasts the popular Puzzle Centre and a cafe and gift shop onsite.
Your Pass also includes a hot/cold drink and muffin (drink $3.50 max) so you can feed your body and your mind!
