As our birds can have sharp claws, we recommend adequate clothing to avoid scratches on your shoulders. 
We recommend enclosed shoes for your safety, this is an outdoor environment that can become muddy in rainy weather. 
Our birds are very inquisitive and attracted to shiny and expensive objects, so we recommend removing all jewellery and other shiny or expensive objects.

(We remind guests that although this is an interactive experience, please respect the birds&#39; personal space as you would any other animal. Please wait for the staff to assist you with holding our birds or allow the birds to come to you freely, keep your hands to yourselves.)&nbsp;

Birds&#39; diets are very unique and complicated for our bird safety we can not allow any kind of food into the aviary as their diets are carefully monitored.

A variety of nuts are used in all aviaries, if you have allergies please inform us before the tour begins.

All ages are allowed in the Aviary, and prams are permitted.

For the safety of the birds and guests, there must be a trained bird handler in the Aviary at all times with any member of the public. To exhibit restricted birds our license requires a bird handler with the birds at all times.

You may take as many photos as you like. We do not charge for photos.

You can hire buggies to get around the gardens. Every buggy has a roof so you can stay out of the rain. Bird World tours still proceed as per normal (unless there is lightning in which case we will close Bird World for safety reasons). The Bird World Tour Guide will keep you in the under-covered section of the Aviary so you can stay dry during your tour.

Disability-accessible toilets and parking are available. Access to the cafe, retail and aviaries are wheelchair-friendly. Parts of the gardens may be a little challenging to access via wheelchair due to the steepness of the roads.

The gardens are situated on a sloped terrain, which may present difficulties for individuals with limited mobility. There is designated parking for those with disabilities near the visitors&#39; center, and accessible restrooms are located nearby. The entrance to the center and caf&eacute; is on a level surface, and all four bird aviaries can be reached by wheelchair. For optimal exploration of the gardens, it is recommended to rent a golf buggy, which is also wheelchair accessible. Please note that wheelchair users must be able to transfer into the buggy.

Your decision to purchase and use our park tickets means that you agree to be bound by, and comply with, these terms and conditions (the terms) as amended from time to time. 
 
Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable for cash 
You must present your transaction receipt upon arrival at The Maleny Botanic Gardens to collect your ticket. 
If your receipt cannot be presented for any reason your access to Maleny Botanic Gardens will not be permitted. 
Entry to each Aviary Tour is allowed once only (per day). 
To complete an Aviary Tour and see the Gardens you must arrive by 1:45pm. 
Concession: Senior and Pensioner Cards. Valid ID must be presented on entry. 
Children aged two and under are free. 
A family is 2 adults and 2 children. 
A 17-year-old is considered an adult. 
A child under the age of 15 must be accompanied by a paying adult, 17 +.
