Keep your camera ready for amazing shots of secluded bays, red granite peaks and crispy white sand!

You will be picked up at your accommodation in Hobart at 7:30 am. We will go all the way up to the lookout. Take your postcard photo of Wineglass Bay. Then we will descend to feel the crispy white sand of Wineglass Bay beach between our toes. Adventurers can walk the Wineglass Bay/Hazards Beach Circuit if they are up for some action. Other majestic sights on this day tour include stunning cliff top views from Cape Tourville Lookout, picturesque Honeymoon Bay and many more East Coast gems. After this day full of beauty and natural splendour, you will be dropped off at your accommodation in Hobart.

Freycinet National Park

Freycinet National Park was declared a national park in 1916. It offers plenty of stunning sights. Granite peaks, secluded bays, white crispy sand beaches and abundant wildlife can be found all over the national park. It is one of the many gems that you can find on Tasmania's wonderful East Coast. The park covers the biggest part of Freycinet Peninsula and offers stunning sights of the Tasman Sea.

Wineglass Bay and The Hazards

You will find hidden treasure Wineglass Bay on the southern side of the Hazards, a line of iconic red granite peaks. Over the Hazards, a winding track leads you to a magnificent lookout. Postcard photo alert! The lookout offers a spectacular view of the twin peaks of Mount Freycinet and Mount Graham on the other side. The Bay is situated on Freycinet Peninsula on the Tasmanian East Coast. The bay boasts crystal clear azure blue waters and crispy white sand beaches.

The Wineglass Bay views are just as captivating as its history. It used to serve as a thriving whaling station for some 20 years in the 1800s. Whalers used to hunt the Humpback, the Southern Right and the Sperm Whale. By 1840, whaling came to an end as whales had been overexploited and the work was no longer financially viable.

Whaling was a very messy and demanding kind of work. That is how the name Wineglass Bay came to life. The water in the bay is said to have been crimson because of the blood of slaughtered whales. Almost like a glass of red wine. Fortunately, the whaling has ended, but the stunning beauty of this bay is still there to be admired.

Cape Tourville Lookout

Admire an impressive 360-degree panorama from Cape Tourville Lookout and its picturesque lighthouse. A conveniently constructed walkway circumnavigates the lighthouse. Stroll high above the ocean and enjoy the amazing view. If you look very carefully, you can see Wineglass Bay in the distance.

Honeymoon Bay

This place is as beautiful as it sounds. Honeymoon Bay is a bay within a bay. It is part of the bigger Coles bay. Its crystal water makes it a perfect spot for swimming and snorkelling (if the weather is nice). In case of less sunny weather, the place still offers stunning views of azure blue water surrounded by dramatic peaks and green trees.
