Once you board the bus, an exciting day of tastings, views and coastal vibes begins. Located southeast of Melbourne, the Mornington Peninsula is home to beautiful beaches, scenic views and countless sightseeing spots, as well as world-class wineries and incredible food.
Your first stop is Brighton Beach, where you might recognize the iconic row of 82 multicoloured bathing boxes. These wooden structures date back to the early 1900's and are a great spot for a selfie! Take a wander along the sandy shore to stretch your legs, snapping as you go.
Next, it's onto the highest viewpoint of Mornington, Arthur’s Seat. A climb to the top will reward you with epic views of the ocean and the golden beaches, mazes and ornamental gardens dotted along the coast. You'll also catch a glimpse of Melbourne city and the peninsulas of Mornington and Bellarine.
After soaking in the stunning surrounds, it's time for the first tasting of the day at Main Ridge Dairy. A commercial goat dairy and farmhouse cheese factory, you'll have the chance to try samples of their goat's cheese and taste their high-quality milk handcrafted into farmhouse cheeses. Later, take a quick tour around the farm and meet the lovely goats who produce the milk!
Next, make a stop at the cellar door of T’Gallant Winery where you'll taste Pinot Gris and Grigio wines. Indulge in their great selection of cool climate wines while enjoying the view of the vineyard. You can also try their Roman style wood-fired pizza (own expense).
After satisfying your wine desires, you'll move onto the Mock Orchards for some cider tasting. This is an apple orchard and processing facility that produces fresh apples, apple juice, apple cider, and apple cider vinegar. You can take home a few bottles of your favourite cider or sparkling juice to enjoy.
Then, it's time to explore the township of Flinders with it's boutique shops and art galleries. Take a stroll to the beach before grabbing lunch at the local pub or one of the cute cafes.
Afterwards, it's time for a sweet treat as you visit Mornington Peninsula Chocolates. Indulge your sweet tooth and try some samples of award winning chocolates and marvel at the exquisite chocolate creations.
For more indulgence, you'll also stop at family-owned Sunnyridge Strawberry Farm where you can try samples of their ciders, strawberry liqueurs and wines. Established in the 1960s the farm produces delicious strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries. Try their strawberries with chocolate sauce and if you fancy, pick some berries for yourself! (own expense.)
After your berry fix, it's back on the bus and back to Melbourne. You will arrive in the city at approximately 5.30pm.
