Why do we love this
We love that this festival is like a slightly quieter version of Oktoberfest. It's cool that you still get all the great beer and excitement but without the massive lines!
WHAT TO EXPECT
Springfest or Fruhlingsfest is often referred to as a ‘Mini Oktoberfest', but it's just like Oktoberfest's hotter, younger, sister! If you're after a more authentic experience, without the crowds, then this is the festival for you!
You'll be staying in stay in pre-erected twin tents with mattresses and sleeping bags. Cosy! Enjoy a fresh breakfast each morning, as well as a hearty dinner back at the camp each night. Just what you want after a day in the sun.
During Springfest, you'll see a different side to Germany than you might at Oktoberfest. Only a few hundreds of thousands of people attend, most of them from Munich and Germany, so the crowd is more authentic with fewer tourists. That means the waiting time for beers is way shorter! And you'll no doubt get to party with some friendly locals.
The weather is also a bonus - since the festival happens in Spring, you can expect more sunny days and outdoor style drinking.
The deal at Springfest is similar to the famous Oktoberfest, with beer halls, big steins and plenty of delicious Bavarian cuisine. There'll always be something going on, so rest assured you won't get bored! Some days, the Springfest is home to a giant flea market, other days firework displays light up the sky... and every day there's dance music, local food and some of the best beer in the world.
And, since you're travelling with Stoke Travel, you'll be coming home to the biggest party back at camp! Once you return, the action continues, with friendly faces, plenty of beer, funky tunes, and delicious meals all night.
From 2.00 pm onwards you'll arrive at the campsite and check-in. Your Stoke buddies will be there to welcome you with open arms and ice cold beer.
Get to know the campsite, make some friends, drink some beers. settle into your holiday vibes. Or, you can head straight to the Springfest beer halls and drink delicious Bavarian beer, eat mouth-watering beer hall food, and listen to the traditional German Oompah music!
From 6.00-8.00pm dinner will be available back at the campsite. And then the massive campsite party begins! Beer and sangria will be flowing and the music will start pumping!
If you've decided to stay on at Springfest for the night, you've got till 10.30 pm when the doors will close for the night and it's time to head back tot he camp. Luckily the party here will go all night!
Wake up between 8.00am and 10.00 am and enjoy a hot breakfast to fuel you up for a day of drinking.
From 9.00 am onwards, guides will direct you to the Springfest beer halls via public transport. You'll arrive around 10.00 am, and then it's time to drink the day away. Try more beer hall food, listen to traditional music.
From 6.00pm - 8.00pm tonight dinner is served back at camp. It's the same deal as day one, stay on to party at the festival or head back to camp to start the night early!
