Day 1: Hobart - Bicheno
Make your way to the East Coast and the beautiful Bay of Fires today. If the conditions are right, this is the perfect place for a swim. Thi area is a slice of coastal heaven, stretching over 50 kilometres from Binalong Bay in the south to Eddystone Point in the north. You can walk along the endless white sand beaches, take a dip in the clear ocean, and enjoy the feeling of serenity!
Later, take Tasmania’s most scenic coastal drive from St Helens to Bicheno. Visit a wildlife sanctuary along the way and meet the iconic Tasmanian devil.
Tonight, you may want to join an evening viewing of the Little Penguins (optional at your own expense and seasonal). You'll stay overnight in Bicheno.
Day 2: Freycinet National Park - Hobart (breakfast)
An early start means you'll be the first to the Wineglass Bay lookout, beating the crowds and the heat for that postcard photo. Wineglass Bay is among the top beaches in the world and is the perfect location for bushwalking, sea kayaking, rock-climbing, or just soaking up the spectacular coastal scenery!
As you enter the bay, you'll be welcomed by a crescent of dazzling white sand set against a bright blue sea. With pink and grey granite peaks in the background, this is one of Australia's most beautiful natural environments. Relax for a while on the secluded beach here, or, if you're feeling like a challenge embark of the Mt Amos or Hazards Beach walk.
Later, continue further along the scenic east coast via the seaside towns of Swansea and Orford. Both are small, friendly towns with a quaint coastal air that adds to their magic. They're perfect for a quick afternoon explore. After wandering their quirky streets, you'll continue on the road toward Hobart. You'll arrive at approximately 5.30 pm.
This is a 2-day tour. Start in Hobart at 7.00am and finish in Hobart at 5.30pm.
