Why do we love this

This is an incredible way to see the Red Centre and we love that this tour included an Uluru Base Walk. You'll see sites such as the Mala Walk, Mutijulu Waterhole and Aboriginal Cave Paintings.

What to Expect

Day 1: Uluru Sunset
You will be picked at the front of Uluru (Ayers Rock Airport) or the Ayers Rock Resort in Yulara depending on your flight time. Pickups start from 12:30 pm. (Pick up at 12.30pm if you are flying from Melbourne and pick up at 1.45pm if you are flying from Sydney).

Your first destination is Uluru! Take in the breathtaking the sight of
the World's Largest Rock.

You then have time to complete an Uluru Base Walk which is truly spectacular. You'll do the
Mala Walk and see Mutijulu Waterhole and Aboriginal Cave Paintings.

Spend tonight night at the Ayers Rock Campground with toilets and showers.

Eat dinner as you watch the sunset over Uluru and chat to your fellow travellers.

Day 2: Kata Tjuta and Uluru sunrise
Wake to a stunning Uluru sunrise before hitting the road today.

Head to Kata Tjuta where you'll feel the spiritual significance on a guided walk through to the
Valley of the Winds. Be shown bush tucker along the hike before heading to the Aboriginal Cultural Centre where you can listen to tales from the 'Tjukurpa' Dreamtime.

Spend tonight night at the historic Kings Creek Station with toilets and showers, 20km from Kings Canyon.

Day 3: Kings Canyon

Kings Canyon is today's stop. Enjoy a 3 hour guided hike through the sandstone domes of the Lost City. (This walk goes around the rim). Visit the many Amphitheatres, North & South Walls and the beautiful Garden of Eden.

Later, get cleaned up and meet with your guide for dinner and a couple of beers in The Rock Bar (at your own expense).

Frequently Asked Questions

You will need 2 x large 1.5 Litre bottles to take on the tour. You will need at least 3 litres of water for the Kings Canyon hike and will more than likely drink 4 to 5 litres of water on this day. You will need the same amount of water for the Olgas hike on Day 2 and Ayers Rock hike on Day 3. Our buses carry 60 litres of water on board and your guide will most definitely guarantee you will not dehydrate on the hikes. There are several points during the tour to fill up your water bottles. All meals are included on tour. Please note you do not need to carry empty water bottles that you can fill at the hostel in morning before the tour and you will be provided with water during the trip.

Effective 01/11/2013 Wataarka National Park close the clock wise hike if the temperature exceeds 36 degrees. The alternative hike is the anti-clockwise hike that does not include the Garden of Eden and a swim in the water hole. The Rangers at Wataarka National Park prefer you do not swim for safety reasons. The level of water in the Garden of Eden water hole may vary from season to season depending on rainfall.

A swag is made out of heavy duty canvas, sewn into a cocoon-like bag providing warmth, comfort and security - the ultimate of all bush beds! They have a 2 inch thick comfy mattress. You sleep inside your sleeping bag inside your swag so your body heat is trapped inside your sleeping bag and swag. A lot warmer than a tent!
