Cancellation by you:

<ul>
	<li>If you cancel some or all portions of your booking cancellation fees will apply.</li>
	<li>A cancellation will only be effective when we receive written confirmation of the cancellation. If you cancel a trip: 
	- 30 days or more prior to departure, we will retain the deposit; 
	- between 15 and 29 days prior to departure, we will retain 50% of the total booking cost 
	-&nbsp;14 days or less prior to departure, we will retain 100% paid by you in connection with the booking.</li>
	<li>Note that different cancellation conditions apply to some trips and additional services.</li>
	<li>Your booking consultant will advise if differences apply.</li>
	<li>Please note that for certain travel arrangements the cancellation charge may be higher than those shown.</li>
	<li>In certain cases a 100% cancellation fee applies as soon as the booking is made and the ticket is issued. You will be advised of different cancellation charges at time of booking.</li>
	<li>You are strongly advised to take out cancellation insurance at the time of booking which will cover cancellation fees.</li>
	<li>If you leave a trip for any reason after it has commenced, we are not obliged to make any refunds for unused services. If you fail to join a tour, join it after departure, or leave it prior to its completion, no refund will be made. 
	 
	 
	Cancellation by us:</li>
	<li>We may cancel a trip at any time up to 30 days before departure</li>
	<li>We may cancel a trip at any time prior to departure if, due to terrorism, natural disasters, political instability or other external events it is not viable for us to operate the planned itinerary.</li>
	<li>If we cancel your trip, you can transfer amounts paid to an alternate departure date or alternatively receive a full refund. In circumstances where the cancellation is due to external events outside our reasonable control refunds will be less any unrecoverable costs.</li>
	<li>We are not responsible for any incidental expenses that you may have incurred as a result of your booking including but not limited to visas, vaccinations, travel insurance excess or non-refundable flights.</li>
	<li>Please note that different cancellation conditions may apply to some styles of trips; your booking consultant will advise if differences apply. 
	 
	 
	Booking amendments:</li>
	<li>If you wish to transfer from one trip to another or transfer your booking to a third party you must notify us at least 30 days prior to the proposed departure date.</li>
	<li>A fee of $150 per person per change will apply (in addition to any charges levied by hotels, ground operators or airlines).</li>
	<li>If you notify us less than 30 days prior to the proposed departure date the refund policy applicable to cancellations will apply.</li>
	<li>Transfers to a third party are only permitted where the transferee meets all the requirements in relation to the trip, and transfers to another departure can only be made to a departure within the current validity period.</li>
	<li>Amendments to any other arrangements made in conjunction with your trip will incur a $100 administration fee per booking per change. This fee is in addition to any charges levied by hotels, ground operators or airlines.</li>
	<li>No amendments are permitted to your booking within 10 days of departure.</li>

Sturdy walking shoes, sleeping bag, hat and sunscreen, towel and toiletries, warm clothing in winter, water bottle, torch, insect repellent/net and camera.

Day 1: Uluru to Kings Canyon (dinner) 
Pick-ups begin from 1.00 pm today. Once you meet your&nbsp;guide and fellow travellers before setting out across the stark, dramatic terrain of Central Australia. It&#39;s a stunning area, and you&#39;ll quickly understand why it&#39;s so popular with travellers.&nbsp; 
 
Your first stop for the day is Kings Creek Station, an authentic outback station. Spend some time exploring here and imagine yourself as an Outback explorer! 
 
By late afternoon you&#39;ll arrive&nbsp;at your secluded campsite for the night. Located not far from Kings Canyon, you&#39;ll enjoy a campfire meal here before snuggling under the stars. Choose to sleep in a proper bed in a permanent tent or swag. 
 
 
Day 2: Kings Canyon - Uluru Sunset (breakfast, lunch, dinner) 
It&rsquo;s a pretty early start today, as you&#39;re off to complete the 6 km Rim Walk around Kings Canyon. Set out after breakfast, before the day gets too hot. 
 
As you go, your guide will tell about the area&rsquo;s flora and fauna. Get ready to explore&nbsp;the Lost City &ndash; a solitary expanse peopled by craggy sandstone domes &ndash; then hike up the surrounding ridges for expansive views along the north and South Walls. Then, make the descent down into the&nbsp;beautiful Garden of Eden. It&#39;s pretty steep in parts but well worth the effort. 
 
After your walk, it&#39;s time to hit the road to Uluru National Park. Drive past the flat-topped rise of Atila (Mt. Conner) and the Curtin Springs Station Roadhouse before arriving at Kata Tjuta National Park. Here, spend some time wandering around the site&rsquo;s red rock domes on a guided walk. This is a very spiritual place and has great significance to the local Anangu people. Discover why it&#39;s so special as you wander the domes and rock formations. 
 
Afterwards, it&#39;s time to finish the day with a bang. Toast&nbsp;the outback&rsquo;s famous Uluru sunset with a fresh beverage (non-alcoholic)&nbsp;and enjoy some delicious snacks as you watch the sun fall over The Rock.&nbsp; 
 
Total driving time today is about three and a half hours. 
 
 
Day 3: Uluru Sunrise (breakfast) 
You&rsquo;ve already witnessed an Uluru sunset, but watching the sun rise up over the world&rsquo;s largest rock is another spectacle altogether! Shade and shadow slide down the rivets lining its side and the colours of the rock itself seem to change. 
 
After being wowed by this light show, it&#39;s time to head up close to Uluru on an unguided morning walk around the base. Caves, springs, ancient rock art and a range of flora and fauna are all concealed in its folds, and early on in the day is the quietest time to see them. 
 
When you get back, an indigenous guide will give some background to the spiritual significance of the area during a cultural interpretive walk. This is a privileged insight into one of the world&rsquo;s oldest remaining cultures. You&#39;ll also visit&nbsp;the onsite Cultural Centre to learn more. 
 
Afterwards, it&#39;s time to head back to Yulara where your tour comes to an end! You&#39;ll finish up&nbsp;before lunchtime - just in time to catch the midafternoon flight out of Uluru! Or, stay on and explore The Rock for a few more nights... 
 
Note: A compulsory transfer fee will apply for any flights booked to depart before 12:30pm. If the levy isn&rsquo;t paid in advance then you&rsquo;ll have to make payment directly to your leader.

The tour guide is very friendly and sweet, but he told us wrong information, (he said that the hotel he drop us off has free shuttle bus every 10-20 minutes, but actually there is not, the servicer of the hotel told us that there was only shuttle bus 3 and a half hours later, and it cost 49 dollars per person. At last we have to pay 399 dollars to get our 5 people to ulruru, ) which made us waste a lot of time and money.

The tour guide didn’t tell us the truth

I embarked on the Rock to Rock explorer by Outback Tour in May. Weather could not be more perfect. The wait at the airport was a bit long and the facilities were not as clean as expected but it was all part of a wonderful experience. We were able to fit everything into tight schedule and experience both Uluru sunrise and sunset. The tour was a bit physically demanding but only at moderate level, just be prepared to cook, clean up and take good care of yourself during the trip.

Wonderful Experience

Our guide Dom was a legend! He was so passionate and knowledgable. We felt completely safe in his hands. He went above and beyond to accommodate my veganism and to ensure everyone was comfortable and that we had as cool an experience as possible. The walks are amazing, so beautiful and whilst you have to rise early to do them - they genuinely made lifelong memories for us. We felt we got to see things not everyone can.i loved the off road feel going to camp site one and having fixed tents made everything easy.
my favourite bit was the uluru perimeter walk and the evening with bubbly - both felt so special. Dom’s knowledge was boundless and I learnt loads about the flora and fauna as well as the indigenous people. I also loved his soundtrack to our journey. Maybe you could have accompanying playlists for the walks? Or encourage those on the tour to post pictures with a hashtag so that we can pool our shots?
Things to tweak from the management side;
- two of us got badly bitten by bedbugs in kings canyon campsite which wasn’t pleasant
- I requested a sleeping bag to be paid on arrival, and confirmed in writing several times and on the phone but there was no reference to this on arrival - luckily it was hot enough we didn’t need them
- would be good to build in drinking on the first night to build bonds, everyone got on better after the dusk bubbly experience on day two
- would be fab to have some tasters of bush tucker
- also would be good to do more on day one as it was mostly driving
- more generally , I was able to tailor my experience to include the camel tour and field of lights, but would be good for the tour to include some more fun bits as well as the very earnest and beautiful walking tours.
-also we were told to take one bag so we decanted everything but actually it would have been more convenient to take all our luggage and there was plenty of room for it in the end.
