Most people travelling with us arrive alone and stay in touch with friends from the group for the rest of their trip. You’ll spend your first week having loads of fun and getting to know each other. After the arrival week has come to an end, our crew can advise you on finding a shared apartment in Sydney or help you plan your travel adventure around Australia with your new mates.

If you have an existing medical condition or disability that may affect your trip or how deliver our experience, we ask that you inform us in writing at the time of your booking. You may be asked to obtain a medical certificate and if the tour operator reasonably feels they are unable to accommodate your particular needs.

Yes. It is mandatory that you travel with a comprehensive travel insurance policy to cover the likes of cancellation, personal injury and medical expenses. By joining us on tour, you acknowledge that you have obtained a policy and are covered. You are responsible for reading and understanding the details of the policy that you are taking out. You should book your travel insurance at the time of booking your trip.

While you are travelling you may wish to participate in additional activities which you will need to budget for. While travelling you may wish to eat and drink out or you may plan to cook and prepare some of your own meals.

As a guide, we recommend you budget an additional $60-$80 AUD per day for spending money. Please note that all travellers are different and you may wish to travel with additional spending money. There are amazing optional activities and food options on offer on the East Coast and if you desire to experience most of them, you may wish to budget for additional spending money.

Your welcome to Sydney arrival package starts and finishes in Sydney, Australia. There is one international airport in Sydney also known as the Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport.

If you are eligible, you will need a Working Holiday Visa, and you can work in Australia for up to 12 months – a great way work and travel! You may wish to find a job in a city, or you might want to try something new that you would never do at home. 

The visa allows you to work full-time in any job, although you’ll need to change employers after a maximum of 6 months. You may also be entitled to benefits like Medicare (public healthcare system) and tax refunds once you’ve finished working.

Australia has reciprocal visa agreements with several countries. Depending on your nationality, you can apply for either a Working Holiday Visa (subclass 417) or a Work & Holiday Visa (subclass 462). If you plan to stay longer than 12 months (it’s easy to get hooked on Oz!), you may be eligible for a second or even a third-year working holiday visa.

Your Australian Working Holiday Visa allows you to:

• Live, work, and travel in Australia for up to 12 months.
• Extend your stay by an additional 12 months on a 2nd-Year Visa and a further 12 months on a 3rd-Year Visa.
• Enter Australia within 12 months of your visa being granted.
• Leave and re-enter Australia multiple times while the visa is valid.
• Work with each employer for up to 6 months and study for up to 4 months.

You will need to contact the Australian consulate in your country to apply for the correct visa. Each country has different regulations.

The great thing is, there is no bad time to travel to Australia! The country is so vast that depending when and where you plan on travelling you're always likely to hit some sun! In Sydney the Summer months run from December to February, but warm, beautiful weather can be experienced all year round. Although the 'Winter' months technically run from June to August, it is not like a Winter you may normally experience in your home country. Temperatures generally don't drop too low, and the sun still shines!
