Your K’gari adventure starts and finishes in the Hervey Bay area. You can arrange a courtesy pick-up from selected Hervey Bay locations or check in at Mainland Reception, 54 Ariadne Street, River Heads. Please contact the K’gari Explorer Reservations Team at least 2 days before departure to confirm your pick-up location and time

This two-day adventure is ideal for travellers who enjoy exploring nature, beaches and rainforest by 4WD. Please note that you’ll need to be independently mobile to get on and off the 4WD bus and access the tour sites. The optional Lake Wabby walk is approximately 4 km return and requires a moderate level of fitness.

All travellers are responsible for having the correct travel documents for their journey. Visa requirements vary depending on your nationality and destination, so check with your local embassy or consulate for the latest information before travelling.

Travel insurance is recommended to help protect you against unexpected events during your trip. Please check your policy to ensure it covers your planned activities.

Dinner is at your own expense, so remember to budget for your evening meal and any additional purchases. The resort has a general store, Eurong Bakery, a swimming pool, tennis courts, free Wi-Fi in the main building, and McKenzie’s on 75 Bar & Restaurant. An optional scenic flight with Air Fraser is also available at an additional cost.

You’ll spend one night in shared dormitory accommodation at K’gari Beach Resort. Rooms are allocated by gender and feature four bunks, a private ensuite with bathroom and shower facilities, and access to the resort’s facilities.

Travellers need to be independently mobile to board and disembark the 4WD bus and access the tour sites. If you require wheelchair access or have specific mobility needs, please discuss your requirements with the tour operator before booking to check whether they can be accommodated.

As this is an off-road tour, pregnant travellers and those with existing medical conditions are advised to seek medical advice before booking. The optional Lake Wabby walk is approximately 4 km return and requires a moderate level of fitness.

Children under 1 year old cannot travel on the tour. Queensland law requires all passengers, including infants, to be suitably restrained. Booster seats are required where applicable; if you cannot supply your own, K’gari Explorer Tours may be able to assist. Please request this when booking.
