Berry Springs is only 50km from Darwin, a drive that takes around 40 minutes. This tour also stops along the way at Crocodylus Park, which is only 15 minutes out of town at Knuckey Lagoon.
Like many places in the Top End, crocodiles do move into Berry Springs during the wet season. However, the swimming hole is closed to visitors during this time, and before it reopens in the dry season, the area is thoroughly surveyed to ensure it's croc-free before visitors are allowed to swim. It's important to only swim in designated areas and observe all warning signs throughout the park.
