What to Expect

There's lots to eat and lots to see on this three-hour walking lunch tour of Darwin City that includes fine food, incredible street art, and lots of history.

You'll stop at three restaurants, with a rotating lineup of venues that showcase the best of the city's foodie scene. The stops could include Moorish, Snapper Rocks, Ruby, Bannsang, Phat Mango or more.

The focus is on tasting plates (degustation) that feature local ingredients and Aboriginal bush foods to delight the most seasoned gourmand. Chat with the staff to more learn about each meal before you dig in. There's plenty to eat, so make sure you come with a hungry belly. Soft drinks, coffee, and tea are all included, and you're more than welcome to purchase alcoholic beverages to accompany your meal.

While it's a short easy walk between venues, you'll still be able to take in some of the most iconic sites in the city, stopping at various cultural and historical landmarks between courses. Plus, you'll be able to see Darwin's street art come alive through augmented reality, using the app developed for the 2019 Darwin Street Art Festival. You won't believe your eyes as you watch these murals move and pop off the walls!

Most of the venues we visit are air-conditioned. Eating areas are non-smoking areas. Smoking areas are usually available nearby. Washrooms are available at several locations. This is a relaxed walking tour on level and paved walkways. We won’t be walking far because the places we visit are relatively close to each other. The average walking distance is 1.2 kilometres, broken into short segments spaced out every 40 minutes or so on our 3-hour-long food tours. We'll provide transport if the weather is poor.
