Frequently Asked Questions about Zipline Tour Cape Tribulation

How do I get there?

The park is located approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes north of Cairns. Pass through the Northern Beaches and Port Douglas in the direction of Mossman. Then, north of Mossman, follow the signage to the Daintree River Ferry, Cape Tribulation, and Daintree National Park.

Treetops Adventure is located on the right side of Cape Tribulation Road, 1 hour north of the ferry. The Daintree River Ferry operates from 6:00 am to midnight daily. It costs $45 return per vehicle. The cost of this ticket is not included in the price of the experience.

Please note during busier periods (school holidays), there can be up to a 1-hour wait for the ferry. Please plan accordingly.

Participants are required to wear secure, enclosed shoes (such as sneakers) in order to participate. The Operator recommends weather-appropriate clothing suitable for both the harness and physical activity. They do not recommend crop tops, shorts, and skirts that can ride up when worn with the harness. Long hair must be tied back. Gloves are provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own gloves or purchase a pair at check-in.

It is an all-weather activity, with the rain just being an added challenge to your climb. Please make sure you bring wet weather gear if the day is set for possible rain, maybe a change of clothes for the trip home. It can get muddy along the paths, so avoid wearing your favourite outfit. The facility will only close during thunderstorms and strong winds.

To help keep all our participants safe, it is important that there is adult supervision for each age group. In addition, it's recommended to have adults who maintain a reasonable level of fitness as the higher courses can be physically demanding. The instructors will be ready to assist on the course at any time.

Juniors 3– 7yrs: Require non-climbing adult supervising from the ground at all times. This adult has free entry, and it's highly recommended to have a separate non-paying adult who can walk around to supervise this age group. Adults are not permitted onto the Junior Courses.

Children 8-12yrs: 1 paying participating adult per up to 4 kids between 8-12 years is required. Supervisors must be 18 years or older.

An extra participating adult is advised if you have a combination of both 8-9 years and 10-12 years. Alternatively, 8-9 years can wait with a non-paying spectator from their group on the ground while the adult proceeds up to the higher course with the older age groups.

Children 13 – 17yrs: Do not require participating adults to climb with them, but the Operator does require a non-paying adult supervisor from the ground to be present onsite.

Lockers are free to use but have limited space for mainly small and compact items. It's best to avoid large bags. It's recommended to bring along only what you need for your session.

Yes, there is a maximum weight of 120kg to participate. The courses are based on the age of the participant, and each participant must be of age to attempt the course. There is no minimum height requirement, but the Operator does highly recommend climbers to be at least 1 metre tall
