Experience the rich and historic culture of New Zealand on this combination guided tour from Rotorua. On this tour, you will get to discover the customs and traditions of New Zealand&#39;s Maori people as well as the beautiful and diverse wildlife of the local region.&nbsp;If you want to dive head-first into the culture of NZ, this is the tour for you.

Your tour will begin at 5:30 in the evening with a visit to Mitai Maori Village. The night will start off with a greeting from a traditionally-dressed Maori Maiden.&nbsp;You will be educated on the basic guidelines of visiting such a sacred place before getting to witness a number of common cultural practices including songs, games and dances. You&#39;ll get the chance to see a&nbsp;famous&nbsp;&ldquo;Haka&rdquo; Maori war dance and watch the warriors paddle&nbsp;a canoe (Waka) while dressed in the traditional attire.

&nbsp;

One highlight of the evening will be getting to view the unveiling of the Hangi from the traditional earth oven in the ground. Your Hangi meal will include a&nbsp;selection of New Zealand meats and poultry, delicious vegetables and fresh salads, followed by a dessert buffet.

&nbsp;

After dinner, you will be transported to&nbsp;Rainbow Springs Nature Park for a night-lit tour through the bush. On your tour, you will get the chance to see the native flora and fauna&nbsp;and learn about their medicinal uses. Get led through an enclosed aviary&nbsp;that&#39;s home to Kiwis and other native birds and explore the cool, freshwater Rainbow Springs.

&nbsp;

Once your tour concludes, you will be dropped back off at your Rotorua accommodation. Please wear warm comfortable clothing and walking footwear.

The night involved a very interesting performance from the local tribe followed by an excellent buffet meal cooked under the earth. What made the deal great was that following the meal a small group were allowed to see the Kiwis next door at Rainbow Springs including a 4 hour old chick!. Even better was the completely free entrance next day when we repeated the Kiwi experience and other spectacular Aviary birds. This was an exceptional deal. Thank You
