WHAT TO EXPECT
Come cruise the magnificent Milford Sound. One of the highlights within Fiordland National Park. Jump on board our modern catamaran; 'Maiden of Milford'. Immerse yourself in some of the world’s most breathtaking scenery while being treated to our famous JUCY service.
Enjoy luxuriant rain forests. Our 3 viewing decks (inside and out) will make sure you'll always have a great viewing of waterfalls, fur seals and other local wildlife such as dolphins and penguins (penguins depending on season).
The cruise travels the length of Milford Sound and out into the Tasman Sea. Here we can show you why Captain Cook failed to discover Milford Sound after charting all the other fiords of Fiordland National Park.
During the cruise stops you'll see New Zealand Fur seals basking on rocks and feel the spray of towering waterfalls dropping into the fiord. Dolphins are seen from time to time when they visit the fiord but are not always present. During certain periods of the year the rare Fiordland Crest Penguin can be spotted as well (August- early December).
A selection of fresh & tasty wraps can be purchased from our Pita Pit outlet on-board, as well as a selection of drinks, juices and espresso coffee.
An informative commentary is provided and there are interesting information sheets that can be taken away.
