Yes. The Kawarau River has calmer stretches where you may have the opportunity to jump out and swim. Swimming activities depend on river conditions.
There is always a possibility of falling out. Your guide will explain the safety procedures during the briefing, and you must be able to help the guide and move towards the raft or safety kayaker when required.
No. Camera equipment and GoPros are not permitted on the raft due to health and safety reasons.
Swimwear is recommended because wetsuits work best when worn close to the skin. Cotton T-shirts and jeans can reduce their effectiveness and make you feel colder.
Yes. Rafting can still operate in rainy weather. However, trips depend on weather, river levels and water temperature, and short-notice cancellations due to rain or bad weather are not refundable.
