The departure point for the tour is at the Hurunui River Bridge on State Highway 1, South of Cheviot.&nbsp;1767 Domett Road, Domett. It is approximately one hour north of Christchurch.

Located just one hour from Christchurch, meet for your adventure at the bridge of the Hurunui&nbsp;River on State Highway 1. Enjoy a thrilling run down to the coast as you navigate high-speed turns and spins through river braids and narrow channels under the Hurunui Mouth swing bridge and onto the small community of the Hurunui Mouth village.

From here, you will enter the magnificent Mouth Lagoon where the mighty river meets its destination at the Pacific Ocean. Disembark and then take a walk down to the beach itself. Learn about the Maori presence in the area and appreciate the variety of local bird life before enjoying a fast and furious run back up to the SH1 bridge.
