Why do we love this
"We love this because on the Bay of Island Overnight Cruise you can witness the magic of Phosphorescence!"
WHAT TO EXPECT
START: 5:00 PM END: UP TO YOU!
Your Bay of Island Overnight Cruise starts at 5pm from Paihia Wharf, so grab a beer and enjoy a 2-3 hour cruise out to the islands. While we're cruising try your hand at targeting shooting. Once anchored it's time for some dusk fishing, how good's your fishing? Because whatever you catch is whatever we cook up on the BBQ!
INTO THE NIGHT
Choose whether you would like to go night kayaking and marvel at magical phosphorescence aka 'fairy dust' or lie back for a star gazing session, our knowledgeable guides will point out all of the major constellations. Fancy a dip? You can jump into the sea for a night swim before warming up with a drink by the fire.
START: 8:00 AM END: 3:00 PM
SUNRISE AT SEA
Enjoy a fiery sunrise at sea – from the comfort of your own bed, if you're not a morning person! Then enjoy tucking into a traditional Kiwi breakfast as we set sail for a day of exploration. Feel free to take an early morning dip, to wake yourselves up.
DAY OF ACTIVITIES
Take your pick from our many activities on offer including, kayaking, snorkelling, catching fresh sea food (including mussels if conditions allow), visiting beautiful scenic points & ancient Maori fortifications.
Enjoy plenty of free time on a remote beach which we will visit during the day – perfect for sunbathing, a game of cricket or beach volley ball!
On our return journey home we will cook up the day's catch ...mussels for lunch anyone? And keep our eye's peeled for dolphins, wild birds and other marine life. Eventually reaching Paihia Wharf at approximately 3pm.
Don't have two days spare? Then check out our Bay of Islands Day Cruise.
