WHAT TO EXPECT

Waiheke Island is a popular day trip destination from Auckland. It’s an easy 40-minute ferry trip away and offers plenty of peace and quiet. The island is famous all over New Zealand for its award-winning vineyards, local art galleries and of course its awesome beaches. If you’re in the mood for some adrenaline, there’s also a long list of outdoor activities to pick from. This includes mountain biking, sea kayaking, zip lining, and surfing.

To make sure you have plenty of time to enjoy our gourmet lunch platter, you can even plan to spend the night on Waiheke Island. There’s a good mix of accommodation available on the island, ranging from luxury hotels to cozy cottages.

Wild at Waiheke is a joint boutique vineyard and craft brewery located a short bus ride from the ferry dock. Our family-owned venue has a laid-back and friendly vibe, and we love serving our chef’s fantastic food to our guests. But although we set extremely high standards for our products, we don’t take things too seriously. All we want is for you to feel relaxed and welcome while enjoying a delicious meal.

For your gourmet lunch platter, we have something extra special planned. Each day, our talented chef puts together a unique, single-serve gourmet platter based on the specialities of the current season. This means your gourmet platter here at Wild at Waiheke will be a wonderful surprise because you never know exactly what you’ll get – only that it’ll be absolutely amazing.

On your plate, you’ll find an explosion of exciting tastes and textures. It will be based on our chef’s tasty selection of seafood, cheeses, charcuterie, and fresh dips. On the side, we serve locally baked bread. But be careful - it’s so good you might even finish it before the food is brought out.

To accompany this delicious lunch, you can choose two tastes from a selection of drinks we’ve handpicked for you. From our boutique vineyard, we’re proud to offer our Wild Estate wine. This particular wine is sold exclusively here at Wild at Waiheke so make sure you enjoy every drop.

For the beer lovers, we offer samples of our craft beers. If you prefer a non-alcoholic option, you can try our pretty awesome Waiheke Brewery Ginger Beer. It may not be world-famous, but it’s definitely Waiheke-famous!

Once you’ve let all this amazing food settle, you’re ready to explore our beautiful island with a happy, full stomach.

Terms & Conditions:

HIGH SEASON Waiheke Island is particularly busy during the summer months. We strongly suggest you book in advance to avoid disappointment. Please also be advised that ferrys and buses are also busy, so you need to allow extra time as we cannot refund or exchange tour tickets if you miss your booked time.

OUR CONDITIONS OF ACCEPTING A HEN/STAG GROUP BOOKING: All Stag & Hen parties are subject to agreeing to our Terms & Conditions above plus a few extras below. Please just remember that whilst we offer these parties, we are also a family venue and it is our right to turn down any booking we don't feel is appropriate for our venue. -One stag and hen group per day (we can't have a venue full of Stag & Hen do's, so I'm afraid it's first in first served) -Prebooked only - no walkin Stag & Hen groups. -You must state when booking if you are a hen/stag party. -No excessive swearing (hey, remember we're a family venue, and one day it could be your kids on the next table) -No lewd costumes -Maximum 20 per group -Morning bookings only, departure by 2pm

Cancellation Policy:

CANCELLATIONS/AMENDMENTS BY YOU Full payment required to secure your booking. Bookings cancelled within 14 days are non refundable. Bookings amended to another date and/or time are subject to a rescheduling fee of $25 per person. Participants that fail to present themselves at the time of their booking (a no show) will forfeit 100% of their payment.

CANCELLATIONS BY WILD ON WAIHEKE LTD For outdoor activities occasionally the weather may prevent us from running the event in a safe and suitable environment. Wild on Waiheke reserves the right to cancel or postpone activities if they feel the conditions are unsuitable. In this event we will use all reasonable endeavours to contact the participant in sufficient time to notify of the cancellation. Alternately we may offer to substitute the outdoor activities with indoor activities. In the event that Wild on Waiheke deem the weather makes it unsuitable to conduct our outdoor activities, the client can choose between transferring the event to an alternative date, or come for lunch anyway and a full refund will be given on the activities portion. We do not charge administrative fees for weather cancellations made by Wild on Waiheke. BOOKED TIMES: Due to the high demand for our activities, the confirmed start time will be the time the activities begin, therefore please arrive 10 minutes before your activity to check in. For late arrivals, Wild on Waiheke reserves the right to: - Reduce the time of your activities (ie if you start later, your finish time remains as booked) - Charge additional costs to cover extra staffing (only offered if no booking is directly after yours & staff can reschedule) - Cancel the booking with no refund given
