WHAT TO EXPECT
This is the chance to try melt in your mouth Japanese delights! The Kuromon Market is famous for its street food and bustling atmosphere, and you'll get to see all this and more.
A street bursting with stores selling small portions and different dishes, the market is the perfect place to enjoy Japan’s tabe-aruki (eating as you walk) culture. Sample different treats from the array of stores and enjoy the atmosphere of this lively place.
With this tour, you'll get to experience all the gems of Kuromon as your experienced guide shows you the tastiest spots! Learn more about the market's history as you walk and stop along the way to try some of the delicious food.
You'll sample fresh scallops, fish cakes and even a Michelin rated Takoyaki, a dish of fried balls filled with octopus.
Wagyu skewers are also on the menu, as is Fatty Tuna (Toro) sushi, Tamago Tofu, and Oden, a type of Japanese soup with vegetables and meat.
Nibble and taste to your heart's content, and chat with the local vendors as you go!
At the end of the tour learn about tea varieties at one of the oldest tea shops in the market and then enjoy some Wagashi, a traditional Japanese sweet.
