Why do we love this
We love the craziness of this festival! Throwing tomatoes at people is just so much FUN!
WHAT TO EXPECT
Join Stoke anytime between 8月 26 - 30 2019, (2-night min) for the time of your life! La Tomatina is a crazy war of, pelt, toss and smoosh that is waged in the streets of Bunol. Here you will discover the pleasure of throwing tomatoes at your friends and strangers while dodging those hurled at you. And while you’re here, you might as well explore Valencia, Spain’s third biggest city. Parties, playas, paellas and oranges await.
The concept of La Tomatina is quite simple - tonnes and tonnes of tomatoes are dumped in the village of Bunol for thousands of partiers from around the world to scoop up and hurl at each other. It’s a war! But it’s a war of fun. Nobody gets hurt, you'll just get a little dirty.
From the moment the cannon fires, signalling the start of the battle, you have about an hour to throw as many tomatoes as you can! You don’t know the pleasure of hurling tomatoes until you’ve tried it!
The campsite opens today! Check in and get to meet your new friends.
From 8.00 - 10.00 pm a hot dinner is served.
From 8.00 am - 10.00 am a tasty, hot breakfast will be served.
From 8.00 pm onwards, the Foreplay party at the campsite kicks off with live bands and DJs.
At 9.45 pm the bus leaves to water and wine fight (extra cost).
If you decide to take part in this epic battle, you'll return to the campsite at 3.00 am.
It's a 6.00 am wake up today!
Start the morning with a tasty breakfast and Bloody Marys to get in the tomato spirit.
At 7.00 am the buses leaves for the Tomato Fight.
At 10.00 am, the unique start to the fight begins. You won't believe it till you see it! Before the battle begins, the crowd must scramble to reach a leg of ham balanced on a 5-metre high wooden pole... when someone reaches this ham, the tomato fight officially begins! If no one can reach the ham before 11.00 am, a rocket is launched and trucks carrying tonnes and tonnes of tomatoes are dumped throughout the street.
Now, prepare yourself for an hour of absolute carnage! Throw fleshy fruit at strangers, friends, family, locals and tourists alike.
After the fight head back to the buses. Remember to bring a spare change of clothes! You'll head back to camp at 2.00 pm for a hot meal.
Later that night at 8.00 pm, the buses head to the Official La Tomatina After Party. Party the night away at a club with a swimming pool! Buses return to the campsite at 2.00 am.
It's been a big night, so free breakfast from 8.00 - 10.00 am will soothe that hangover.
Check out at 11.00 am and say goodbye to your new friends.
You will stay at a beachside campsite, where the huge “Foreplay Party” occurs the night before the fight. You'll cook a giant paella (Valencia’s most well-known dish) to eat, hit the sand for some beach games and splash around in the on-site pool.
At the campsite, located along the coast just north of Valencia, there is a bar, shop and restaurant. At the bar, you can take advantage of unlimited beer and sangria for €10 extra.
When you stay here, you’ll be staying in twin-share, pre-erected tents with mattresses and sleeping bags. Eat chef prepared breakfasts and dinners and meeting hundreds of like-minded travellers from all over the world!
Accommodation includes transfers to the Tomato fight and back again, experienced guides for the tomato fight and your stay in Valencia, and a Bloody Mary on the morning of the battle.
