Day 1: Perth to Dunsborough (lunch and dinner)
Start your day early with pickups from 6.30 am. Your adventure begins as you hit the road south from Perth. Your first stop at the popular tourist town of Busselton. It’s hard to miss the massive jetty here! A19th-century construction stretching 1.8km into Geographe Bay, this jetty is a great spot for a morning stroll. Enjoy a coffee on the waterfront and chat about what exciting things are to come.
Next, head to Margaret River to enjoy a leisurely canoe along the pristine water. This is a great way to see the famous river from a different angle.
Later, it's back to dry land for some lunch and tastings. Spend the afternoon tasting some of the world best wine and produce at a chocolate factory and a cheese factory. You'll also visit some of the best wineries and boutique breweries in the area.
Tonight, you’ll be spending the night in popular tourist hot spot Dunsborough, loved for its sparkling calm clear water, white sandy beaches and great evening vibes. Enjoy a tasty dinner here before settling in for the night.
Drive time: 4 hours.
Day 2: Dunsborough to Walpole
Today you’ll meet Wadandi custodian Josh, who will introduce you to the world’s oldest living culture. The Koomal Dreaming experience is an authentic and personal interpretation of Aboriginal history. During the experience, you'll descend deep into the Ngilgi Cave for a memorable didgeridoo cave experience, taste native foods, discover bush medicine and experience traditional fire lighting.
After an incredible morning, it's time to swing by the township of Margaret River. Here you’ll stop for a quick look at the quirky shops and
galleries that line the streets. Stop at Hamlin Bay for lunch before making your way into Walpole. This is where you can climb the 50 metre Diamond Tree, a native karri tree once used as a fire lookout! It's 1 of only 3 wooden top towers in the world.
Tonight, you'll sleep and enjoy dinner at Hamlin Bay.
Drive time: 4 hours.
Day 3: Walpole, Albany to Perth
This morning, explore the stunning Walpole region.
Then, head from the forest to the ocean and onto William Bay National Park. This is where the magical Greens Pool can be found, and it lives up to the hype! A stunning beach that is completely sheltered, it’s the perfect place to have a swim in the warmer months.
Then, it's back onto the road for a scenic cruise along the coast to Albany. See how years of erosion have crafted incredible rock sculptures and granite bluffs – the Natural Bridge and The Gap are two highlights.
Have some lunch in the historical township of Albany before hitting the road back to Perth. There are around 6 hours of driving today, but the diverse scenery provides the perfect distraction. You'll arrive into Perth around 6.30pm.
There are no formal activities planned tonight, but it's usual for the group to get together and say their goodbyes over a few drinks and a meal (at own expense).
Please note: your guides will tailor all of the activities on seasonal and cultural conditions throughout the year, to maximize your experience and enjoyment. Occasionally, the itinerary may differ slightly in order of activities.
