Feeling adventurous? Are you up for an adrenaline rush? Then it's time to take on this epic rafting trip down wild Tully River. Your experienced river guides will take you over the rapids and help you become a confident rafter who can conquer the Tully. Get ready, because you are in for an action-packed trip!
The Tully River is one of the best rafting rivers in Australia and the perfect place to visit whether you're a beginner or seasoned rafting expert. The setting for your adventure is Tully Gorge National Park, a World Heritage-listed park and a unique rafting setting. The Tully descends 800 metres (2,600 ft) over its course of 133 kilometres (83 miles).
You'll admire a World Heritage rainforest as you cruise and raft over a series of rapids. This is Grade 3 & 4 rafting, so you can be sure of plenty of excitement.
A highly trained river guide will join you in the raft and teach you the correct rafting techniques. Along the way, your guide will also tell you all about the history and wonders of the magnificent landscape around you.
You'll be picked up at your accommodation in Cairns at 6.30 am. From there, travel to Tully and meet up with the Mission Beach rafters (7.30am).
This morning, your experienced guides will give you a safety briefing and paddling instruction. Afterwards, you'll be all set and ready for your rafting adventure! This is a Grade 3 and 4 rafting trip.
Take on rapids and action-packed sections with plenty of thrills and spills. Check out the natural landscape as you go and listen as your guide tells you more about the area.
After an action-packed morning, you'll enjoy a delicious BBQ lunch on the river bank.
Once you've filled your belly, it's back into the raft to continue the fun. You'll zoom along to your finishing point where you'll change into some dry clothes before heading to the cafe to view and purchases photos of your day.
You'll experience up to 5 hours of rafting action today.
Departs Cairns 6.30am, returns 6.00pm. Departs Mission Beach 7.30am, returns 4.30pm.
