Hit all the sights in the Whitsunday Islands in one day! This exhilarating day of adventure immersing you in beautiful natural surrounds with creature comforts for added luxury. You'll visit world famous Whitehaven Beach and Hill Inlet lookout and enjoy 2 snorkelling opportunities on the fringing Great Barrier Reef.
Thundercat is the fastest catamaran in the Whitsundays and has been designed for stability and speed so it's perfect for passengers who are concerned about seasickness. You'll travel in comfort with an onboard toilet plus Individual seating with back support. A baked morning tea and buffet lunch is included, as is snorkel gear.
Default pick up for this tour is at Base Backpacker's (by the reception stairs) at 8.30am. If you miss the shuttle, you will need to make your own way to the North End of Abel Point Marina. If you would like to be picked up by the courtesy shuttle from another accommodation, please call Whitsunday Sailing Adventures on 1300 653 100 or 07 4940 2000 the day before your tour departs or advise when booking. If you are not being picked up by our bus then please meet at Abel Point Marina meeting area next to the roundabout at 8.15am. The vessel will depart at 9.00 am sharp so please don't be late.
Once everyone is aboard, you'll depart from the Abell Point Marina and travel to Tongue Bay to begin the adventure, the largest island of the Whitsunday group of Islands.
Cruise to Whitehaven Beach where you can stroll along the famous sandy stretches and check out the amazing scenery. This award-winning beach is 7km long and is famous for its crystal clear waters and perfect 98% silica white sand.
Later, you'll embark on a guided bush walk to Hill Inlet Lookout where you'll see spectacular panoramic views of the beach and its swirling sands. This is a great opportunity to take photos!
After working up an appetite, tuck into fresh homemade baking for morning tea, followed by a buffet lunch.
Next, you'll head to two snorkelling locations on the fringing Great Barrier Reef. The marine life and colourful corals will amaze you! The first is Peters Bay, a beautiful location on the northeast side of Whitsunday Island. The Bay offers beautiful coral and marine life and is one of the quietest snorkelling spots in the Whitsundays. Perfect!
Next, it's off to Manta Ray Bay, one of the most popular snorkelling spots in the Whitsundays Islands. Situated on the northern tip of Hook Island it's home to an array of underwater valleys, caves and plenty of different fish types.
Later, it's time to head back to Airlie Beach, enjoying afternoon tea as you travel.
You'll return at approximately 5 pm.
