Why do we love this

"It's the crew that make this Whitsundays trip really special. You'll spend your days snorkelling, sun bathing and sailing around the gorgeous Whitsundays, then your nights kicking back with the awesome True Blue team! The boat is equipped with lots of extra goodies like boardgames, speakers and a massive deck complete with beanbags. It's a great way to see the stunning Whitsundays in comfort with a fun and adventerous crew!"

Spend two days sailing the Whitsundays in utmost comfort aboard the Atlantic Clipper. Complete with daily snorkel and dive trips, a sprawling deck for sunbathing and nighttime fun with the crew, this trip gives you the ultimate island and reef experience.

Day 1 - Whitsunday Passage, Hook Passage

Your first day onboard begins with a relaxed cruise across Whitsunday Passage and past the Molle Islands. You'll head along the coast of Hook Island to Hook Passage, which is sandwiched between the two largest Whitsundays Islands.

Once you reach your overnight anchorage spot, there'll be plenty of time to dive into the clear water for a swim and enjoy the afternoon on the sun-kissed deck. If you're feeling adventurous, check out the onboard 8-meter waterslide or the 6-metre dive board

Come twilight, sit back in the hot tub and watch the sunset over pristine water and islands. For dinner, enjoy a delicious steamed fish and a few evening drinks on the top deck. You might even be lucky enough to see some dolphins frolicking under the boats two huge 'fish spotlights'. Sometimes, fish, turtles and even reef sharks join in the show! Watch them chase the night away and relax with a few board games and friendly chats with the crew.

Day 2 - Whitehaven, Langford Island

It’s a bright and early start this morning! Wake up at 6.30am for a full continental breakfast before arriving at Whitehaven just before 8 am. You'll take a trip to a famous lookout -   the 4th most photographed place in Australia - and enjoy decadent views of the swirling hill inlets on Whitehaven Beach. From here, continue on to Whitehaven sand where you'll have the chance to explore the pristine sand and play some beach games!

Return to the boat for lunch, then it's time to set sail to your dive and snorkel destination! This spot is an underwater paradise, and whether you're snorkelling or scuba diving this reef world lights up before your eyes. It's among the richest marine habitats in the world and the oldest ecosystem on Earth, not to mention one of the most beautiful and colourful places you've ever seen.

Once you've finished exploring the beautiful reef, it’s time for a hot shower then afternoon snacks and a cold beverage while you enjoy a sunset sail to your anchorage point for the night. Stop off on Langford Island for a final peek at the setting sun.

After dinner, it's time for a reef party! For the last night of every tour, the crew put on what they call 'the show', an evening full of funky tunes, dancing, singing and games.  Fancy dress, disco and strobe lights and some awesome activities will make your final night on the reef one to remember!

Day 3

The final day starts with a singing wake-up call from the crew at 6.30am. Then it’s time for a full continental breakfast before scuba diving and snorkel operations commence at 7.30am.

After you say your final goodbyes to the coral reef, it's time for some more water sliding and diving board action. You'll arrive back at Airlie Beach around 12 pm after a sail through the reef and its islands. And don't forget the thrill ride across the Whitsunday passage! This stretch of water is lots of fun aboard the Clipper with its massive sails and will have you disembarking with a smile.

This tour is a 3 day, 2-night trip, starting on Day 1 at 2.30pm and finishing on Day 3 at approximately 12 pm.

Absolutely! Stingers pose a threat year round.  It’s a logistical nightmare if someone gets stung; it ruins the trip for everyone else too. Box Jellyfish – Oct to May, Irukandji are year round. If you are going to enter the water at all, you need a suit.  The suits protect you from our harsh sun too.

Tell the crew if you can’t swim, they have swimming aids such as noodles and lifejackets.  Try to snorkel; it is truly one of lifes great wonders.  Your crew will assist you with learning

Scuba Diving is available on both Atlantic Clipper and New Horizon.  Even people that are not good swimmers are perfectly able to try scuba diving.  Introductory and Certified Diving is available for an additional $60, this can be purchased at ABC Travel or onboard the Atlantic Clipper & New Horizon. Second dives are $50 (payable onboard only).

No, but feel free to BYO in moderation (we want you to remember and enjoy our beautiful surroundings). You may be refused boarding if you are intoxicated at the time of departure.  No glass and no red wine is permitted onboard.  The reason for this is red wine can stain the deck and if glass is broken it becomes a danger for all other passengers.
A limit of 30 cans or 4 litres of wine is permitted.  Spirits are welcome if you prefer however we ask that you transfer these to plastic bottles before you board (available from local bottle shops).

The course the boat takes is dependant on wind/weather/tides and currents.  There is no set course.  We always endeavour to get to Whitehaven Beach, Hill Inlet (Oooohhhh that view),  and there are usually at least 2 great snorkelling/diving spots.  The only reason we will not get to Whitehaven is if the wind does not allow us.  This rarely happens, but it can.  The skippers know the waters exceptionally well and will do the best course for the passengers and their comfort.

You will meet at Abel point marina (just a 15-minute walk from the centre of Airlie Beach) at a time that will be advised at check-in.  You will be given a map with directions of how to get there – easy!

No.  Atlantic Clipper has 21 cabins onboard including 4 share, triple share, private twin and private double. Upgrades for private twin ($50pp) or private double ($100pp) are payable on check in.  Being subject to availability we do recommend you book in advance.

We are able to cater for most dietary requirements onboard our vessels so please just advise our staff at the time of booking or when you check in.

Mmm, tricky one…. Entirely depends on the group.  Some trips are very relaxing whilst others have the possibility of turning into a great party, who knows?  The crew interact with the passengers nightly and encourage you to have fun, they do not encourage excessive drinking.  You do not have to get involved if you don’t wish.  It is noisy for a couple of hours but all settles down early enough for you to fully enjoy the next day sightseeing.  53 young people on a boat usually means it can be a bit rowdy!
