WHAT IS INCLUDED IN YOUR CAMP PACKAGE?

• Tarp (for protection when raining)
• Table, camp chairs and stools
• Gas cooker and gas refill
• Coolbox (Esky)
• 5L water container
• Pots, pans and storage box
• Plates, bowls, cups, cutlery, cooking utensils, cutting board and knife
• Washing up equipment (dish soap & tea towels)
• Roomy two-person tents with sleeping mats
• National Park Camp Permits ($7 per person, per night) are not included and need to be added as an extra and then we will book them for you to coincide with your itinerary, just choose Amenity or Beach or combo of both and we will organize the rest. 

WHICH CAMPING WOULD YOU PREFER?

• Amenity camping in the rainforest (Central Station): fenced camp zone (from dingoes), flushable toilets, showers ($2 for hot water), running water.
• Beach camping, no amenity: no toilets, no shower, no running water, camping in designated areas behind the dunes on 75 Mile Beach, limited options for dingo fenced beach camping (these are booked when possible), we provide a dingo stick for protection. Please note we do not provide shovels or toilet paper, this needs to be arranged by yourself.
• A mix of both: If you are staying 2 of more nights, experience both the rainforest and beach camping! Please let us know your preference when you make your booking.

The barge to Fraser Island departs from River Heads, 30 min from Hervey Bay. The best barge departure times are 8:30 am and 10:15 am to Wangoolba Creek. The best barge return times are 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm from Wangoolba Creek, the barge takes approx. 30 min to return to River Heads. The barge departures to Kingfisher Bay Resort are 9:00am, 12:30pm and 3:30pm returning at 10:30am, 2:00pm and 5:00pm.

You can camp in all the designated National Park campgrounds and beach camping zones, between Indian Head and Dilli Village on the Eastern beach. There are also some private campgrounds on the East Coast of Fraser Island if you are willing to pay more and get better facilities, such as undercover shelter sheds for wet weather, hot showers and flushing toilets.
