WHAT TO EXPECT
See the best of Northern Colombia on this all-inclusive 3-day tour from Santa Marta. On this guided motorcycle tour, you will travel to Palomino, Buritaca and Minca, stopping at all sorts of local destinations along the way. This tour is great for beginner and experienced riders alike, and a great way to immerse yourself in the culture of Colombia.
You will begin your tour in Santa Marta with a 9 am departure. From there, cruise along the seaside and up and down the region's rolling hills as you make your way towards Palomino. You will stop at an Italian pizzeria called Prima Luna Restaurant for lunch before taking a boat tour of the Camarones flamingo sanctuary.
You will ride for approximately 5 hours today. Eat dinner at Lima restaurant, then spend the night at Happiness Hostel, the best in Riohacha.
Spend your second day exploring the quiet fishing village of Dibulla. Then, ride your motorcycle up the mountain road to Machete. This will be the starting point for anyone who chooses to hike up to the Lost City (Ciudad Perdida).
Later, you will get to go river tubing in Buritaca (with the added perk of all-you-can-drink alcohol!) You will ride approximately 5 hours today and then spend the night at El Rio, voted Colombia's best hostel in 2018.
On day 3, it's time to visit Minca. You will take a tour of Finca La Victoria coffee farm and get to taste their organic coffee for yourself. Then, visit Pozo Azul waterfall for a swim and a cliff-jump followed by a lunch of smoked meats (or a vegetarian alternative) at Camarita's Smokehouse.
You will ride approximately 6 hours today before returning to Santa Marta around 5 pm.
