WHAT TO EXPECT

Wineglass Bay is considered one of the world's best beaches. It's famous for its white sand, aquamarine waters and perfect crescent shape, making it a must-see destination for Australian locals and visitors alike.

This 12-hour tour will allow you to see all the best of Wineglass Bay and Tasmania's greater East Coast region. Tours are led by experienced local guides who have extensive knowledge about the area and know all the best spots to stop at along the way. Highlights of this tour include invigorating beach walks, the chance to explore and swim in three different bays, and pit-stops at a marine farm and a berry farm. It's jam-packed day and a great way to experience real Tasmanian culture.

Itinerary:

Your day will begin with a 7am pickup from your Hobart CBD accommodation. From there, head northeast along the coastline, travelling through the seaside towns of Orford and Swansea. Finally, you will arrive at Freycinet National Park, one of Tasmania’s first National Parks. It's well-known for its beautiful coastlines, secluded bays, local wildlife, incredible walking trails and Pink Granite mountains.

On the way into the park, take a pit-stop at the Freycinet Marine Farm for the chance to see how local oysters are harvested. You will then move on to the Wineglass Bay Lookout, which requires a moderate uphill walk of around 45 - 60 minutes. Enjoy incredible views of the bay once you reach the top. If you'd like, you can continue to walk down the track to Wineglass Beach to complete your Wineglass Bay experience. Once there, take some time to eat lunch, relax in the soft white sand, or take a swim in the clear blue water. Return time to Wineglass Beach is approximately 2.5 hours.

If you'd prefer not to take the walk to Wineglass Beach, you and your tour guide can explore other parts of Freycinet including Honeymoon Bay, Sleepy Bay, Cape Tourville lighthouse and Great Short Walk. After around 4 hours exploring Freycinet National Park, you will head back to Hobart.

On the way back, you will make one final stop at Kate's Berry Farm for a delicious serve of berry ice cream, dessert or other sweet treat such as jam, sauce, chocolates or jellies. You will then arrive back at your Hobart CBD accommodation by approximately 6.30pm. (Airport drop-offs are available on request.)
