Continue to the Iron Pot,  Australia's oldest lighthouse and hear the tales of early shipwrecks. Then venture into Storm Bay to circumnavigate Betsy Island, home to a variety of seabirds, including the majestic white bellied sea eagle.

Cruising down the Derwent River you are treated to an amazing view of Hobart from the water, with Mount Wellington as the backdrop.

Storm Bay
follow the final leg of the world-renowned Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race. 
Betsey Island
Circumnavigate this uninhabited island and search for abundant birdlife, including the majestic white bellied sea eagle. 
Hope Beach
Named after the infamous ship wrecked upon its shore, this beach is now a local surfing hot spot. 
Iron Pot Cruises departs daily at 2:00 pm from the Pennicott Wilderness Journeys Booking Centre. This is situated on Franklin Wharf, next to the Constitution Dock Lifting Bridge on Hobart's waterfront. Additional departures are available in peaking times. Bookings essential.

  1. The supplier reserves the right to vary any tour and will incur no liability for any cancellations or alterations.  

  2. You are on holiday and the supplier wants your travel plans to be flexible.  However, the supplier tours are often fully booked and the supplier takes waiting lists for guests interested in coming along.  Therefore if you are running late or you decide not to join a tour, all the supplier asks is that you please contact the supplier to cancel your booking. This gives the supplier an opportunity to re-sell your seats to other guests.

Cancellation Policy:

In the event that a booking is cancelled, the following fees will apply:

  • Cancellations more than 48 hours in advance: no fee
  • Cancellations between 48 and 24 hours of departure: 50% of the total cost
  • Cancellations less than 24 hours before departure: 100% of the cost
