Discover Healesville Sanctuary, explore the Dandenong Ranges and take a ride on Puffing Billy Steam Train. This day trip from Melbourne shows you all the highlights of the beautiful&nbsp;Healesville and Dandenong region.&nbsp; 
 
Your day starts at 8.30 am from the&nbsp;Bunyip Tour Office. From there, wend your way north up to the Healesville Sanctuary. Here you&#39;ll get the chance to meet some of Australia&#39;s native animals including koalas, kangaroos, monitor lizards and dingos. Check out the&nbsp;&#39;Spirit of the Sky&#39; bird of prey and parrot show and pay a visit to the&nbsp;Wildlife Hospital.&nbsp;More than 2000 sick or injured animals are treated here each year and the space includes a training facility for&nbsp;future veterinarians.&nbsp; 
 
Later, head to the Puffing Billy Steam Train for a ride through the rainforest. This&nbsp;century-old steam train travels through lush fern gullies and Eucalyptus&nbsp;and mountain Ash Forests. You&#39;ll fall in love with the stunning Dandenong Ranges surrounds&nbsp;on your journey.&nbsp; 
 
This tour&nbsp;finishes at the Bunyip Tours office (570 Flinders Street). Departs&nbsp;at 8.30 am&nbsp;and finishes between 5 - 5.30 pm. This tour runs Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday.&nbsp; 
 
If you can&#39;t get enough of the wildlife, there is the option to connect with the Phillip Island Penguin Parade tour before returning to Melbourne. 
 
You&#39;ll still get to experience all the excitement at Healesville Sanctuary and on Puffing Billy, plus you get to follow it up with some cute penguins!&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 
If you choose this option, you will meet the Penguin Parade bus in the afternoon and head to Phillip Island. As night falls, experience the incredible penguin parade on the beach. 
 
Afterwards, you&#39;ll return to&nbsp; Melbourne between approximately 9.30pm and midnight.&nbsp; 
 
 
Please note&nbsp;the option to add on the Penguins can only be booked from October 7 till 6th April.
