WHAT TO EXPECT
Day 1: Uluru (lunch and dinner)
You'll be picked up from Ayers Rock Airport today, and then its time to meet your fellow travellers and head to the Cultural Centre for lunch and a tour. Learn about the flora, fauna and local Aboriginal culture of the Red Centre and discover the history of this amazing region.
After lunch, you'll have the chance to walk around the incredible Uluru! It's a decent hike, about 10km (3.5 hours) and you'll see some stunning formations and sights along the way. Keep your eyes out for the 'brain', a spot of erosion on the rock face, and enjoy seeing traditional ochre rock art up close! There are many sacred sights around Uluru so travel quietly and make sure you really take in all the wonder of this magical place. Once you've finished, it's time to enjoy a glass of bubble as you watch the famous Uluru sunset.
Watch The Rock change colours as the sun moves through the sky and enjoy the shadows flickering on the rock face. This is a special moment that will take your breath away. Once the sun has faded, its time to head of to your camp for the night. Enjoy a campfire meal under the stars then snuggle into your swags for the night for a cosy outback sleep.
Airport pick up times:
March - October: 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm from Ayers Rock Airport
November to February: 12.30 pm and 1:00 pm from Ayers Rock Airport
Day 2: Uluru & Kata Tjuta (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
It's an early start to catch the Uluru sunrise today, but well worth it for the stunning show you'll witness! Afterwards, head to Kata Tjuta to explore its many domes and hike through the Valley of the Winds. This is another magical place, full of serenity and stunning landscapes.
Later, head back to the base of Uluru for a cultural walk with your guide. This is a great chance ask some questions about the incredible Uluru environment and learn more about its history and long-standing culture.
After enjoying a tasty lunch hit the road again to Kings Creek Station, your camp spot for the night.
Enjoy a real outback BBQ dinner around the campfire, share stories with your fellow travellers, and watch a clear, sparkling outback sky before you fall asleep.
Day 3: Kings Canyon (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
Today, take on the mighty Kings Canyon! Hike around the rim and catch some spectacular views into the valleys beneath. Afterwards, it’s back to Kings Creek Station where you'll have the option of a camel-rode, helicopter or quad bike (at own expense).
Once you've explored and adventured, head to your private bush camp for the night. Tonight you'll be setting up camp Curtain Springs Station, which offers stunning sunset views of Mt Connor.
This is your last night under the stars, so make sure you make the most of the clear outback sky and try and spot as many constellations as you can!
Day 4: Uluru (breakfast)
Enjoy a leisurely start today and tuck into a cooked breakfast before hitting the road back to The Rock. There'll be chances for photos along the way, and you'll arrive at Ayers Rock Airport at 09.30 am, just in time for your departing flight!
This is a 4 day, 3-night tour, starting and finishing at Ayers Rock. This is a great option for those catching a departing flight from Ayers Rock Airport on the final day.
