- Admission fees are included

- A lovely local guide to show you around, every step of the way!
In this two hour class, you’ll have the opportunity to learn how to make a few unique dishes, including: Any kind of Thai curry, unique blue jasmine rice (yes, the rice is really blue! And quite beautiful -- an impressive dish to show friends), local herb salad or Thai fried vegetables. If you have another idea of something you’d like to learn how to make, feel free to suggest it to your host. She is very accommodating! You’ll have the chance to shop at a local fresh market and pick out your own ingredients. Foreign markets may be very intimidating to travelers, but your host will show you what to look for to create the best dishes. The cooking process you’ll learn is a traditional Thai style, using a charcoal stove to achieve the most delicious end result! You’ll also use a clay pot to further enhance the authentic Thai cooking experience.
Your host, Jekky, is a small Thai woman, but strong-minded, with a young soul, and a free spirit full of energy. She is a Thai chef who absolutely loves to cook and spending time in the kitchen is one of her favorite things to do. She loves to share her knowledge about Thai culture and cuisine with the world. She is a farmer and local tour guide, too. Jekky is a hard working person, a great entertainer and has the heart of an angel. Jekky describes her life as “beautiful and amazing!” This class is open to up to five people at a time, so you can rest assured that you’ll get a lot of hands on experience and Jekky will be able to help you one-on-one.
While you could take a number of Thai cooking classes, Jekky is a host unlike any other. She’ll teach you with patience and kindness; she loves meeting new people and feels her life is like a book “that gets filled with new stories every day.” You’ll feel energized just by spending time with her, and your stomach will be full and happy after this class!
