Umebijin Brewery makes sake according to the traditional method from ancient times with high-grade quality control as well. Visit the sake warehouse and observe how their sake is made. The brewery consists of historical buildings registered as tangible cultural property with a brick chimney served as a landmark of the city. The staff (including the chief sake brewer) will be pleased to show you around the brewery.
After the tour, you can taste the signature sake and liqueurs in a modern space within the sake warehouse. Have a nice time while sampling the premium sake in a calm and elegant environment. If you find a sake that suits your taste, you can purchase it at the shop for a souvenir (optional).
Depending on the season, you can visit the citrus field where the raw materials for the popular product "Mikan (mandarin orange) Liqueur - Bihada" are grown. It is a scenic spot overlooking the rias coast. On specific days from January to March, you can watch the fermentation process of the raw materials in the back of the brewery.
