WHAT TO EXPECT
Enjoy a full day of discovery, culture and natural beauty! Visit a village and experience local Fijian life. Trek to waterfalls, take a horseback ride and try out some weaving before ending the day with a soak in the Mud Pools. Fiji is waiting!
You'll be collected from your hotel(s) in Nadi from 8.45 am. From there, start the journey to the Mountains of the Sleeping Giant. Along the way, you'll pass through sugarcane farms, villages and local schools before you arrive at Nalesutale Village. This spot is home to Cannibal Villages which were converted to Christianity.
Here, you'll meet your host/guide and will drive up to where your first trek begins. Your destination is a beautiful waterfall! To get there, you'll trek through the rain-forest, approximately 30 minutes each way. As you go, you'll learn about herbal medicines, the Fijian lifestyles, and the Fijian art of survival. You'll even get the chance to take a dip in the cool and refreshing waters.
Afterwards, enjoy fresh fruits and a Fijian style barbecue lunch at the Village. You can sit around and mingle with the villagers or go on a horse-back ride around the countryside. Try out your fishing techniques in the river before you head off to the next stop! You can also try out weaving.
Then, it's mud pool therapy time! It’s off to the warm mud pools for a relaxing dip to end the day.
After you've relaxed, head off into the sunset back to your hotel. You'll arrive back at around 5.00 pm.
