Why do we love this
We love the personalised feel of this tour. You'll travel in small groups and experience the Bay of Islands minus the crowds!
WHAT TO EXPECT
Escape to the Bay of Islands for a day of sun, sand and wildlife! Travelling in a small group (maximum 20) you'll discover the best the area has to offer. This is the way to experience the Bay of Islands!
Get ready to begin your cruise around 144 subtropical islands! Your day begins at 10.00 am. Please arrive 10 minutes before departure time.
Enjoy two island stopovers where you can discover your surrounds on a series of short walks along native New Zealand bush trails. Plus, you can enjoy the scenery even more with a beachside morning tea and coffee!
As you explore, you'll enjoy breathtaking 360-degree viewpoints over the bay. You'll also learn more about the area with onboard commentary about the history of the Bay of Islands.
There's also the chance for wildlife spotting throughout the day, so keep your eyes peeled for marine wildlife, penguins and gannets! There might even be the chance to taste Kina (seafood) fresh from the ocean!
And you won't just be exploring the Bay of Islands from the boat either... the sheltered waters of the islands are the perfect place to dive underwater for a spot of snorkelling. The calm water waters are also the perfect place to give paddle-boarding a go if you're a first timer!
After a day on the water, it's time to return to the mainland. You'll arrive back at approximately 3.00 pm.
Customer safety is our priority and cancellations due to weather conditions are rare. Cruises will proceed as scheduled in light rain and other mild weather conditions as we have the option to fully enclose our vessel to accommodate most weather conditions.
In the unlikely event Sea Shuttle Bay of Islands have to cancel a cruise due to extreme weather or for safety reasons, a full refund will be issued if an alternate date cannot be arranged.
The Bay of Islands is full of marine life, and dolphins are often spotted on our cruises. At Sea Shuttle Bay of Islands, we encourage and support the conservation of all wildlife by observing from afar without disturbing their natural behaviours and environment.
There is always a possible chance of spotting dolphins, whales, penguins, sharks, New Zealand Dotterel, Australasian Gannets and various other Bay of Islands unique wildlife
