Day 1: Alice Springs to Uluru (Lunch & Dinner)

You'll be picked up outside your Alice Springs accommodation at approximately 6.10 am. Drive through the beautiful Outback and enjoy watching the desert come to life. Your first stop will be a traditional Aussie roadhouse for a quick breakfast (at your own expense), then it's back on the road. Enjoy a short stop along the way where you can view Mount Connor and the Salt lakes before arriving at Yulara. Here, you'll meet your fellow travellers starting the trip from The Rock. 

After lunch here, drive to your first stop in Uluru National Park. You've got a choice between any of the following Uluru experiences:

  1. You can visit the Cultural Centre and enjoy 2 guided Uluru base walks (Mala & Mutitjulu Waterhole).
  2. Embark on the full 10km Uluru base walk, which is unguided. (Cultural Centre visit not included.)
  3. You can take on the Uluru climb (unguided, if open). The Cultural Centre visit not included in this option and please be aware that Uluru is a sacred site and the Anangu people ask visitors to respect their culture by not climbing the rock.

This evening, watch a spectacular Uluru sunset while enjoying a variety of snacks. 

After sunset, you'll drive to the campsite for hot showers and a hearty meal. You will sleep this night in a swag (Aussie bedroll) under millions of outback stars.

Day 2: Uluru Sunrise and Kata Tjuta to Kings Canyon (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
Get up early for breakfast before catching a spectacular Uluru sunrise.

Then, head to Kata-Tjuta (The Olgas) for a guided 5.5km walk at Kata Tjuta. You'll return to camp for lunch.

Next, drive to your remote bush camp in the Watarrka National Park (Kings Canyon). After a hot shower, tonight’s dinner will be an authentic Outback BBQ. You will sleep this night in a swag (Aussie bedroll) under millions of outback stars.

Day 3: Kings Canyon to Alice Springs (Breakfast / Lunch)
After breakfast, we drive to Kings Canyon for a guided 6km Canyon Rim Walk in one of the most spectacular areas of the outback. Visit the natural Amphitheatre and discover the lost city, North and South Walls, and the exotic Garden of Eden along the way.

Stop at either Kings Canyon resort or Kings Creek Station for lunch before heading back to Alice Springs. You'll arrive there around early evening.

A swag is made from strong canvas, sewn like a large sleeping bag with a comfortable sponge mattress inside providing warmth, comfort and security. You sleep in your sleeping bag inside the swag – so it’s much warmer than a tent!

Alice Springs pick-ups: approximately 6.00-6.10am.

We return to Alice Springs at approximately 5:30pm on the third day.

Travel voucher, 2 x 1.5 litres of water (per person), sleeping bag (can be hired for $20/person), strong non-slip walking shoes, hat (wide brimmed is best), fly net, sunglasses, sunscreen, toiletries, torch (flashlight), swimwear(warmer months), towel, camera, casual and comfortable clothing (cool, light clothing is best in summer and warm clothing for winter), travel pillow, a small overnight bag (please leave your luggage at your Alice Springs accommodation due to space limitations on the mini-bus).

Terms & Conditions:

  • A minimum age at the time of travel applies to many of our trips. For the majority of our trips we have no upper age limit though we remind you that our trips can be physically demanding and passengers must ensure that they are suitably fit to allow full participation.
  • All travellers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian, or in lieu of a legal guardian, by an escort over the age of 18, appointed by their legal guardian. The legal guardian or their designee will be responsible for the traveller under the age of 18 day to days care.
  • Travel insurance Travel insurance is compulsory for all our travellers and should be taken out at the time of booking

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellation by you:

  • If you cancel some or all portions of your booking cancellation fees will apply.
  • A cancellation will only be effective when we receive written confirmation of the cancellation. If you cancel a trip:
    - 30 days or more prior to departure, we will retain the deposit;
    - between 15 and 29 days prior to departure, we will retain 50% of the total booking cost
    - 14 days or less prior to departure, we will retain 100% paid by you in connection with the booking.
  • Note that different cancellation conditions apply to some trips and additional services.
  • Your booking consultant will advise if differences apply.
  • Please note that for certain travel arrangements the cancellation charge may be higher than those shown.
  • In certain cases a 100% cancellation fee applies as soon as the booking is made and the ticket is issued. You will be advised of different cancellation charges at time of booking.
  • You are strongly advised to take out cancellation insurance at the time of booking which will cover cancellation fees.
  • If you leave a trip for any reason after it has commenced, we are not obliged to make any refunds for unused services. If you fail to join a tour, join it after departure, or leave it prior to its completion, no refund will be made.

    Cancellation by us:
  • We may cancel a trip at any time up to 30 days before departure
  • We may cancel a trip at any time prior to departure if, due to terrorism, natural disasters, political instability or other external events it is not viable for us to operate the planned itinerary.
  • If we cancel your trip, you can transfer amounts paid to an alternate departure date or alternatively receive a full refund. In circumstances where the cancellation is due to external events outside our reasonable control refunds will be less any unrecoverable costs.
  • We are not responsible for any incidental expenses that you may have incurred as a result of your booking including but not limited to visas, vaccinations, travel insurance excess or non-refundable flights.
  • Please note that different cancellation conditions may apply to some styles of trips; your booking consultant will advise if differences apply.

    Booking amendments:
  • If you wish to transfer from one trip to another or transfer your booking to a third party you must notify us at least 30 days prior to the proposed departure date.
  • A fee of $150 per person per change will apply (in addition to any charges levied by hotels, ground operators or airlines).
  • If you notify us less than 30 days prior to the proposed departure date the refund policy applicable to cancellations will apply.
  • Transfers to a third party are only permitted where the transferee meets all the requirements in relation to the trip, and transfers to another departure can only be made to a departure within the current validity period.
  • Amendments to any other arrangements made in conjunction with your trip will incur a $100 administration fee per booking per change. This fee is in addition to any charges levied by hotels, ground operators or airlines.
  • No amendments are permitted to your booking within 10 days of departure.
