The longest you can expect to walk for on this Ayers Rock short trip is 1 hour combined, at a relaxed pace.

All activities are considered very safe for all age groups. They do not require a high level of fitness or agility.

Uluru is a must-visit for anyone visiting the Northern Territory&#39;s Red Centre. However, there&#39;s so much more to the world-heritage listed monolith than just its sheer size &ndash; it&#39;s been a significant cultural site for the Aboriginal people for many centuries.

Discover the Tjukurpa stories intertwined with Uluru and its surroundings on this fascinating tour. These are stories about the beginning of time that combine lessons of the land, survival instructions, and behavioural expectations. They&#39;re incredibly complex,&nbsp;passed between generations through&nbsp;storytelling, and are&nbsp;deeply important for the local Aboriginal culture.&nbsp;

Your tour begins with pick-ups from your Ayers Rock Resort accommodation. Then, the first stop is the Mala Walk, which traverses the landscapes into the Kantju Gorge. Learn about the Mala (rufous hare-wallaby) people, see where they first camped, and admire some of the finest examples of rock art.&nbsp;

&nbsp;

Head to another area of Uluru for a guided walk to the Mutitjulu Waterhole. It&#39;s one of the few permanent water sources, and you&#39;re likely to spot wallabies among the river red gums, plus an abundance of bush foods. You&#39;ll find it at the end of the Kuniya Walk, where one of the most dramatic creation stories occurs &ndash; a battle between Kuniya (the woma python woman) and Liru (the poisonous brown snake man).

After the walks, you&#39;ll be returned to Ayers Rock Resort.&nbsp;
