Try your hand at gold-panning, take a ride in a horse-drawn&nbsp;carriage and venture&nbsp;underground on a mine tour.&nbsp;You&#39;ll also stop at Daylesford, the heart of Victoria&#39;s spa country, and explore the town!&nbsp; 
 
Itinerary 
Pickups begin from 7.45 am. You can also meet the tour at the Bunyip Tours office (570 Flinders Street) for 8.30 am departure. 
 
You&#39;ll drive from the city to Ballarat, home to Sovereign Hill! Sovereign Hill magnificently re-creates Ballarat&rsquo;s first ten years after the discovery of gold in 1851. A visit here will help you&nbsp;understand and truly appreciate the colonial history of Melbourne, Victoria and Australia. 
 
Throughout your visit, you&#39;ll be accompanied by your personal guide, Mr Smith. He&#39;ll take you on his &rsquo;rags to riches&rsquo; story back in time, from the seedy streets of London to when he became one of the goldfields most successful men! 
 
You&#39;ll get to try your hand at gold panning too, as well as embark on a guided underground mine tour. Just imagine what it must have been like for the gold-miners in the old days! 
 
There&#39;s plenty to fill your day at Sovereign Hill&nbsp;with. Watch entertainment like&nbsp;exciting street theatre and live goldfields music and visit the old sweet shop where you can take home your own supply of tasty raspberry drops.&nbsp; 
 
After a truly unique experience here, you&#39;ll&nbsp;continue your journey to Daylesford, deep in the heart of spa country. The area is renowned for its revitalising springs. Enjoy the quaint village atmosphere and main street bursting with character as you browse some of the renowned art galleries and stop&nbsp;for a coffee. 
 
Tour departs Melbourne at 8.30 am (pickups from 7.45 am) and returns between 5.00 pm - 5.30 pm.
