WHAT TO EXPECT
Fraser Island is the largest sand island in the world and a true bucket list destination for Australians and visitors alike. It's known for its stunning lakes, creeks, beaches and abundant wildlife.
On this all-inclusive, 3 day, 2 night tour from Noosa or Rainbow Beach, you will get to experience the very best of this famous island with the help of a knowledgable local tour guide. Throughout your journey, you will see and do plenty, from bathing in the island's natural "Champagne Pools" to spotting sharks to collecting and tasting shellfish, plus much more. If you're ready to discover the wonderful world of Fraser Island, you've come to the right place.
You and your tour group for the next three days will meet at your arranged pickup destination at 6:30 am (if leaving from Noosa) or 9 am (if leaving from Rainbow Beach) for a safety briefing and morning tea. After that, it's time to hit the road towards Fraser Island! Drive for about 4 hours (from Noosa) or 1.5 hours (from Rainbow Beach) before arriving at the island around 11:30 am. Once there, it's time to set up camp and eat a delicious and healthy lunch of wraps, sandwiches and salads.
Once you've refuelled, you and your group will head out for a visit toone of the islands lakes, where you will get to swim in the crystal-clear waters and soak up your gorgeous surroundings. After you've had your fill, it's time to return to camp for some beers or soft drinks. A classic Australian BBQ dinner of meat (or veggie burgers) and three veg is to follow, around 7 pm. Dessert and post-meal coffee or tea will also be on offer.
After dinner, you will have time to share stories, play the didgeridoo or simply relax and stargaze before hitting the hay for an early morning.
Wake up around 7 am and enjoy a breakfast spread of eggs, cereal, toast and condiments plus beverages of your choice. At approximately 8 am, you will leave camp to explore even more of the island's lakes and beaches. Take a break for lunch and then continue exploring, discovering more bodies of water and the epic views that surround them.
After a long day, you will return to camp around 5:30 pm. You can relax with a book, chat with the new friends you've made on the tour, or perhaps have a strum on the camp guitar. Then, it's time for a dinner of chicken or mushroom stir-fry with rice, plus biscuits and hot drinks for dessert. You will have a few hours to play a game of giant jenga and watch the sunset before it's time for bed.
Wake up at 7 am, eat breakfast and get ready to say goodbye to camp. At around 8 am, you will hop into your 4WD for your final day of exploring Fraser Island. You and your guide will hit the inland tracks of the island, discovering the region's towering trees and taking one final dip in the cool, refreshing waters.
You will eat lunch at 11:30 am and then make a quick stop at The Beach Camp Eco Retreat to pick up your bags before heading back to the mainland. If you were picked up from Rainbow Beach, you will be dropped off at approximately 3:30 pm. If you're ending in Noosa, you will arrive back around 6 pm.
This tour departs from Noosa at 6.45 am & Rainbow Beach at 9 am every Monday and Friday.

What are the requirements to drive the 4WD vehicles? Is it safe?
4WDriving around Fraser Island is heaps of fun and the highlight of the trip for many. There is no need to stress about navigating the beach or knowing all of the 4WD techniques - all you have to do is follow your guides wheel tracks and simple instructions. All vehicles on this tour are automatic and have constant 4WD, so you can relax and take in the scenery.
You are eligible to drive if you are over 21 years of age, you passed your drivers license more than 12 months ago, and you have a full, clean license.
You will need to show your ID Card Licence - it is illegal to drive in Queensland without having your licence on you, and if the police stop you on Fraser Island, you could receive a very hefty fine. You will need to provide an international translation if your licence is not written in English.
