• Video and photo packages are available and can be added at checkout or on the day of your skydive when you check in. 

• You will receive your video and photos in your inbox within 24 - 48 hours of completing your skydive. 

• Wear comfortable clothing appropriate for the weather conditions on the day. Please keep in mind that it may be cooler at high altitudes. 

• It is essential to wear enclosed footwear such as sneakers or running shoes. Flip-flops or sandals are not permitted.

• We will provide you with goggles, including an oversized option if you wear glasses

• Avoid consuming copious amounts of food immediately before the skydive 

• We advise applying sunscreen and staying well hydrated.

For safety reasons, the weight limit to skydive in Australia is 110 kg. We weigh each person at check-in, over 95kg charges apply:

Over 95kg: +$25
Over 100kg: +$50
110kg: +$100

Almost any healthy person over 16 years of age can do a Tandem skydive, even seniors over 80. For safety reasons, we reserve the right to refuse a skydive based on our assessment of age, weight and health. If unsure please contact us to discuss your case with our team at Cairns Skydivers.

You most certainly can breathe while skydiving, and we recommend that you do! The freefall usually lasts between 45 and 60 seconds, it’s not fun to hold your breath for that long. We often tell customers, if you feel like you can’t breathe, stop holding your breath.

A tandem skydive usually lasts between 45 and 60 seconds. The orientation of your body makes quite a difference. Experienced skydivers, in a head-down freefall, may experience speeds of up to 450 km/h and a shorter skydive. Skydives in a “belly to earth” position, like tandem skydives, usually last up to 60 seconds, due to larger areas exposed to the relative air in freefall and relatively lower speeds, still reaching up to 200km/h!

The ride isn’t over once the parachute opens! You now have 5 – 7 minutes to take in the views while enjoying a serene parachute ride. You could even ask your instructor to have a go at controlling the parachute.
