Yes, you can start the day in Alice Springs. We offer 2 tours with this option; one tour that finishes in Alice Springs and another one that finishes in Ayers Rock. Both tours are 3 days/2nights. To start the Tour in Alice Springs you need to arrive one day before the tour starts because you will leave at 5 am on Day 1. If you choose to finish in Alice Springs, you will arrive at 5 pm on day 3, if you choose to finish in Ayers Rock at 11 am.

We highly recommend spending a minimum of 5 days in the Red Centre. Day 1 - arrive in Ayers Rock. Day 2, 3 and 4 to take the trip and return to Alice Springs or Ayers Rock on night 4! If you arrive in Alice Springs you can enjoy dinner with your tour guide and hang out in the city. For both tours, we recommend that you spend at least an extra night so that you can recover for this amazing 3-day tour!

Effective 01/11/2013 Wataarka National Park close the clock wise hike if the temperature exceeds 36 degrees. The alternative hike is the anti-clockwise hike that does not include the Garden of Eden and a swim in the water hole. The Rangers at Wataarka National Park prefer you do not swim for safety reasons. The level of water in the Garden of Eden water hole may vary from season to season depending on rainfall.

Winter nights are often below zero degrees (May-Sept) so you will need a good sleeping bag. If you don’t have one of your own, you can hire one from us for $15.00. Ours are washed after every tour and are minus 10 degrees rated…nice and warm

A swag is made out of heavy duty canvas, sewn into a cocoon-like bag providing warmth, comfort and security - the ultimate of all bush beds! They have a 2 inch thick comfy mattress. You sleep inside your sleeping bag inside your swag so your body heat is trapped inside your sleeping bag and swag. A lot warmer than a tent!

We do have tents (without bedding) on the 2nd night at Ayers Rock Campground. Most campers choose to sleep in their swag under the stars as you do on the 1st night. We offer you a real Aussie outback experience sleeping in a swag under the stars. You simply put your sleeping bag inside & get cozy around the camp fire sleeping under a million stars.
