We request that you please read over the following terms and conditions before booking one of our tours. Please ensure you have also read and understand the itinerary and requirements of the tour you are booking. By booking one of our tours you agree to the conditions of travel set out below.
BOOKING AMENDMENTS All booking amendments must be emailed to email@example.com The following applies to changes to tour type or departure date of an existing booking: o 8 days or more from departure - $50 admin fee as well as any difference in tour prices will apply o Within 7 days of departure - full cancellation fees and the full cost of the new tour will apply Please note: if you fail to join a tour, join it after departure, or leave it prior to its completion, no refund will be given.
WHAT TO BRING Day Tours Travel voucher, water bottle (capacity 1.5 litres), strong non-slip walking shoes, hat (wide brimmed is best), flynet, sunglasses, sunscreen, camera, casual and comfortable clothing (cool, light clothing is best in summer and warm clothing for winter), travel pillow (longer day tours), swim wear & towel (West MacDonnell Ranges day tours, during summer), cash for purchasing dot painting directly from artists at sunset (Uluru day tours). Camping Tours Travel voucher, 2 x 1.5 litres of water (per person), sleeping bag (can be hired for $20/person, must be requested at time of booking), strong non-slip walking shoes, hat (wide brimmed is best), fly net, sunglasses, sunscreen, toiletries, torch (flash light), swim wear(warmer months), towel, camera, casual and comfortable clothing (cool, light clothing is best in summer and warm clothing for winter), travel pillow, a small overnight bag (please leave your luggage at your Alice Springs accommodation due to space limitations on the mini-bus). 2 Day Package Travel voucher, water bottle (2 x 1.5 litre), strong non-slip walking shoes, hat (wide brimmed is best), flynet, sunglasses, sunscreen, camera, casual and comfortable clothing (cool, light clothing is best in summer and warm clothing for winter), travel pillow, cash for purchasing dot painting directly from artists at sunset.
SPECIAL DIETARY REQUIREMENTS & FOOD ALLERGIES We provide healthy, quality meals on our tours. We are able to cater for one of the following special dietary requests upon request: vegetarian, gluten free or dairy free. If you have a food allergy (eg peanuts) please advise at the time of booking and carry any necessary medication with you on tour.
AGE & FITNESS LEVEL REQUIREMENTS For our camping tours the minimum age is 8 and for all other tours a minimum age of 2 applies. All travellers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who will be responsible for their care. Any packages that include dorm accommodation are not available for children, however we can create a suitable package for families upon request. We have no upper age limit on our tours, although some trips can be physically demanding. For our camping tours, a real spirit of adventure and a medium level of fitness is required as the tours are fast paced. It is important to note that Central Australia experiences extreme weather conditions during summer. Participation is required from passengers on our camping tours for things such as meal preparation and firewood collection (as requested by guide).
TRAVEL INSURANCE Emu Run recommends that all travellers take out travel insurance to protect you from costs of illness, injury and cancellation fees.
AUTHORITY ON TOUR Each of our tours is run by a tour guide who will be in charge of making decisions relating to the safety and well-being of the group. Any passengers who do not comply with the tour guides decisions or act in a manner where they may interfere with the safety or well-being of others in the group may be asked to leave the tour. No refund will be given under these circumstances.
ACCEPTANCE OF RISK While on tour you will be visiting places where the dangers and challenges will be greater than those present in daily lives. There may be a higher degree of personal risk due to participation on the tour. You acknowledge and accept that your decision to travel on our tour is made in light of consideration of this and you are aware of the personal risks involved.
COMPLAINTS & CLAIMS Please inform your tour guide if you have a complaint about your trip so that they have the opportunity to rectify the matter. If the matter is not resolved, please contact us in writing after your tour.
PHOTOS & MARKETING By booking our tours you consent to us using images of you that are taken on tour for any advertising or promotional purposes. You grant us permission to use these images royalty free for publicity and promotional purposes worldwide.
TERMS & CONDITIONS Emu Run Experience reserves the right to amend the itinerary of any of the tours and arrange alternative carriers to those advertised if necessary. No refunds will be given in these circumstances or in the event of any delay, curtailment or alteration of a trip resulting from any cause including severe weather conditions or mechanical failure. A minimum number of passengers is required to operate each tour. It may therefore be necessary to cancel a scheduled departure and to offer an alternative or full refund for that tour. We accept no responsibility for loss, stolen or damaged property and recommend that all passengers take out adequate travel insurance. Emu Run will accept no responsibility for any injury, illness or other such accident sustained whilst on tour. Any children travelling will be the responsibility of the parent or guardian. All passengers must wear shoes at all times, and be wearing hats and sunscreen.
UPDATING THE CONDITIONS OF TRAVEL Emu Run Experience reserves the right to update and/or alter the conditions of travel and fine print at any time. It is the agents and passengers responsibility to be familiar with the most up to date conditions of travel, which are available on our website.
All cancellations must be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org Emu Run Experience will charge the following fees upon cancellation: Day Tours & Transfers: o 30 days or more prior to departure - 25% cancellation fee on full cost of tour o 4-29 days prior to departure - 50% cancellation fee on full cost of tour o Within 3 days of departure - 100% cancellation fee on full cost of tour Camping Tours, Overnight Tours, Packages & Charters*: o 30 days or more prior to departure - 25% cancellation fee on full cost of tour/package o 8-29 days prior to departure - 50% cancellation fee on full cost of tour/package o Within 7 days of departure - 100% cancellation fee on full cost of tour/package *Charters are quoted on cost of operation, and therefore if number of passengers is reduced the price of the charter may not be reduced.
