While the odd penguin may hang around near the boardwalk during the day, thousands of penguins waddle onto Phillip Island’s Summerland Peninsula every night.
Your chances of seeing this natural wonder for free is very slim, though, as the peninsula is closed off at night to protect the penguins. As a result, the only way to see cute little creatures waddle ashore at nighttime is from the penguin parade’s special viewing platform.
